Rode up North America on Saturday and whilst there were a few wet bits, on the whole it was fine. Up above North America, the trail is primarily rocky/hard packed so little in the way of issues with being waterlogged.

Thanks guys. Just need a suggestion for a big Saturday ride now. Planning on staying near Ambleside. Don’t mid a bit of hike-a-bike. Never had the pleasure of riding the Lakes before so if there was only one route to ride (great views, descents and climbs)then what would it be?

Going up to the Lakes w/end 4/5 August and planning on hitting Grizedale on the Sunday. The N.Face is what we’re looking at but any pointers on these rocktastic BW’s and where they can be found would be appreciated.

Keep it in its plastic casing at all times – dont know why youd ever need to take it out.

I’ve been running the Hans Dampf is Les Gets for the last 10 days – great tyre.

Had a wet day in Les Gets today but been baking hot for the last week otherwise. Popping over to Chamonix tomorrow so will check.

Peatys drop is in Greno Woods on the other side of the road. There are plenty of techy, steep, rocky, root dh tracks in Wharny. Have a look at vids on Monkeyspoon website

I’ve paid of credt rims on the switch hubs from superstar and they were excellent value. Even if you have to have the wheels tensionned and trued they’re still markedly cheaper than Hope hoops.
