I’ve just ordered some Slant’s for my SB66. They are internally adjustable down to 120mm so they might fit the bill for you!

Yep. Replied to your post. Had a fun few hours.

Went yesterday. Snowy in the trees so some of the black was difficult with ice underneath. Been milder today so probably ok. The red and dh were running great though. Had a fun day.

Erm, aren’t the 2 chains going to clash with one another potentially?

    Hanson Dampf?

Yep, mine ran out 10 months ago. No replacement despite renewing my subscription and requesting a replacement.

I must admit though, the possibility of a free packed lunch on a £300 a night hotel is tempting 😀

Canyon Yellow stone. I’ve the Grand Canyon. It’s very good. Great vfm

Agreed. I’ve ridden both my SB66 and my Canyon 29er HT and preferred the Canyon.

I put some on my Canyon Al29 yesterday and there’s loads of room. Cracking vfm bike 🙂

700 quid and nearly 1700g. Erm, no thanks. get 300g lighter and cheaper elsewhere

Would be interested to know where. Don’t think that’s bad for a pair of 29″ wheels, especially at that money. My understanding is that carbon wheels aren’t significantly lighter – you’re simply paying for the other benefits brought to the table.

I’m in the same boat and popped in to just riding along. They recommended the DT Swiss 350 which I think I’llgo for

Check Yeti fan site. Not sure exactly – not cheap though.

Might get away with it. From memory the iscg mounts on my Dialled were inward of the BB.

Where are you? I’m in Sheffield if any good? Loving my 29er ht – about 5lbs lighter than my Yeti so something totally different.

Mine was in stock and took 2 weeks to arrive

..and of course it’s all totally true. A convicted doper who only “came clean” because he was caught.

Popped in today and bought a few things. Top blokes and good coffee! Going to push the button on some 29er wheels shortly.

It’s got Mavic Crosstrails on – they come in about 2200g. I reckon I can ditch a pound and a half by going for lighter wheels and running them tubeless.

Was concerned about durability of the Crest’s tbh. I’ve a 26″ pair which are fine for general trail riding etc but don’t the Crest’s have a recommended weight limit in 29 guise?

Just out of interest, what bike are you riding? The reason I ask is i’m not sure whether you’re referring to natural, techy dh biased stuff (in which case i’m probably not the best person to help you), or whether you’re talking about singletrack riding with some ups thrown in to the mix.

In that case, it’d be fairly obvious if it was 853 from the big sticker on the seat tube.

Depend’s whether you’re wanting to ride DH (in which case there really is no secret) or a bit of xc in which case it’s not so much secret, as difficult to find.

Presumably the original incarnation was also 853?

What sort of stuff are you wanting to ride?

700mm so not too bad. Marginally narrower than the Easton’s on my Yeti. Will see how I get on. Got a few upgrades in mind tbh.

No, waiting for new shoes to arrive. First foray into clipless pedals too.

Difficult to say tbh. Will probably put a lay back post on. I’ve a long body and short legs so may have struggled with a taller frame. I can see why some might have problems. Any taller than me (I’m 5ft 10) and I’d suggest a large.

Can anyone else confirm a 9 speed link will work with a 10 speed chain without any fuss?

Apparently it has Shimano Press-Fit-Standard. Presumably, with a shimano press-fit bb I can run a normal set of shimano cranks?

Yes! One of my fave films in my formative years. Watched it again recently and guess what – it was still great.

I was hoping there might be something out there which had a soft shell with fleece or similar lining with a fitted cut.

Although they have neither shimano brakes or rockshox forks, you should check out the Canyon 29ers – great VFM
