Actually, I learnt the hard way. I left my underwear drying once years ago, fella came home with mates late and use a whole camera film taking pictures of him and mates wearing my thongs while I was fast asleep. I tidy them up now.

Exactly what Geoff said. I’m half way through my BA hons and can’t really fault the OU. I have found that for degree level study you need to put in the recommended 16 hrs but sometimes more if your doing say a level three course. Dedication and commitment are key. It can be a bit soul destroying when you have loads to do on top of work and your friends want you to come out to play. However, it will be a massive achievement and one that won’t go un-noticed with employers as they recognise the amount of work that has to go into an OU degree. It will be well worth it and as Geoff said, if you get a good tutor you will be brilliantly supported and helped through your course (even when you may or may not cry down the phone to them late in the evening because you don’t understand something though that might just be me?!!)

I am, not particularly interesting unless you like stalking people. Although saying that I follow a couple of bike mags and bike radar etc which is useful because they put stuff up about articles, bike kit and events for example which I probably wouldn’t find out about otherwise. Not sure I fully understand what its about even though I’ve been on it a year, its a bit weird.

Its really horrible, she is a really sweet, lovely girl and I just don’t know why anyone would want to bully her. The bullies are from quite rough families who really don’t give a toss and think people are over-reacting. It literally makes me feel sick but unfortunately she is the daughter of a family friend and her parents are at their wits end and don’t know what else to do and if the school wont listen to them they wont listen to me. I might get my parents to start encouraging them to make a fuss outside the school. Local MP and paper sounds like a good start to me……

I have some 18/19 year old cousins whose English make that Mark datz thread look like something the queen would have penned. Whenever I read their status on facebook and usually the comments left by their mates it makes me want to cry and feel the human race should probably become extinct. Junkyard I have been called some things in my life but never something that comes up with beach volley ball and a band when I googles it. People always get my county name wrong. To be fair I don't really care, I ain't gonna fight anyone over it. Simon, you are a failure as a mountain biker as a trail centre lover 🙂 I like trail centres, don't get the moaners problems.

It happens here too, if you ride a lot you are always going to meet ar** holes. Mostly the people I've met have been very polite and usually quite enthusiastic, I often get "ohh I wish I was that fit/brave/having that much fun". Only blow ups I've had weren't even mine really and they have been related to dogs not being on leads and heading for bike wheels. My other half nearly had a full on punch up with some T88t on top of a hill because his dogs were not on leads and ran at the bike nearly causing a collision. I give way to people on horses/in cars/walking. Actually, I always give way to everyone, I'm a very considerate rider but as with anything, you get bikers who can be complete ar** holes too. That's life I'm afraid.
