This is the actual kit I bought.. I ignored all the carts that came with it and just bought a second clear tank for about £5. so she always has two available. The battery lasts at least 4 times as long as the skycig too.

Nice one Elzorillo. So you bought one of these?

Looks like a lot of kit to faff around with? Whereas the e-lites seem pretty simple.

I’m not worried about saving say £10/£20/£30 a month (on comparing kits) because a key to ‘er indoors taking this up will be its simplicity.

The key for my wife was simplicity too.. The kits look like a lot of faffing purely because they usually come with lots of different bits, such as sample carts etc.. as I said, all you need is the battery and the clear tank with the mouth piece.. ignore everything else. It IS as simple as the sky cig things apart from one detail.. you unscrew the tank once in a while and simply pour liquid in. A tank lasts my wife close on a couple of days.

It really is a lot more simple than the impression you get from the kits.

I asked the very same question a couple of months ago for my missus..

Bought her the skycig kit against many peoples advice and for the first couple of day she was impressed. The short life of the battery and the cig bit you screw on sent her straight back to proper cigs. I investigated further.

Now this vaping lark can look BLOODY complicated to an outsider, and it appears to me that most ‘vapers’ seem intent on making it sound complicated too. There are all sorts of weird kits about.

Simple breakdown.. I bought the riva kit (same as the ego kit but cheaper) for about £30.. came with two batteries and two clearomizers (this is a clear tank that you fill with the liquid) that screws onto the battery with a mouth piece attached. Initially ignore all the advice about mixing your own liquids etc and just buy a couple of ready to go liquids. It works out very cheap. 30ml of liquid will cost about £10 and is still half full a month later!!!

As i said.. you’ll see all sorts of stuff about drip tips and cartomizers.. Ignore the lot and just start simple.. you fill the clear thing and just use it til it’s empty then refil it. You can get more adventurous later on if you wish.

As for the results.. she still has a cig in the morning.. one after a meal and maybe one before bed (urgh!!).. but from a serious habit to about 4 a day is a great result..

I thoroughly recomend it.. if you need any advice re purchase, just ask.

    Best sites seem to be..

    http://www.ukecigstore.com/
    http://www.liberty-flights.co.uk/

but as I said.. keep it simple or you’ll put her off.

Edit: a pic of the kit with clearomizer attached to battery (it’s a lot more descreet than it looks).

The banks of our sailing club are normally overrun with bunnies.. The banks have for a week been sat under up to 5m of flood water as far as the eye can see.. poor bunnies 🙁

    Had it nearly a week.

I do like the decals of the animal but dont like the leather seats and already have a very good satnav. So far extremely pleased with it.

Mpg round town avg 31.. on a longer journey mid 40s. Drives like a car. No more smelly wet dogs in the cab and been a godsend during the recent floods.

    Love it.

Been VERY lucky and always had a slim muscular build (even when I dont do anything) which really pisses people off hehe

I have the odd problem that if I do too much exercise, I get skinny. So I’m forced to eat loads to keep the weight on.

(when I say skinny, I mean lose a kg or so)

I’d hazzard a guess that the people saying he was rubbish have never seen a ring let alone understand the training and bottle needed to get in one.

I admit it was plainly obvious he had never boxed before, but he’s got balls, and for that reason alone I congratulate him him.

Can take it or leave it really.. it doesnt agree with me and I’ve always been a lightweight at it.

Last drink I had was about 10 days ago.. we all got multiple punctures so called the ride off and went to the pub. had 4 pints and spent the next 24 hours very ill. 😳

I’m sure Junk and the rest of STWs resident comrades will be on in a minute, praising the councils well though out aims for European (eussr) integration and protection from the tyranny of self determination by a party of a rouge eu state.

I had the ‘this is microsoft calling.. you have a virus’ scammers.. I pretended to be totally inept and managed to keep the guy on the phone for over half an hour whilst trying to follow his instructions.

Was great fun and annoyed him greatly when he finally realised.

ok.. so I am back from the purchasing trip…

    Dont you just love ebay…

140 mile round trip.. morning off work.. arranged someone to take me.

    Get there..

‘Hello.. I’ve come to look at the Mitsubishi you have for sale. XX is expecting me.’

They cant find XX so I go outside to look around the truck anyway..

Some bloke turns up.. ‘Cant find the keys at the minute mate’.

I walk round the back.. ‘erm.. there’s no back window’

Man with blank expression walks round back and confirms that there indeed is a missing back window… man points to broken glass inside truck.. ‘ahaa yeah.. someone broke it’.

I explain that the description makes no mention of a smashed rear window, and that XX made no mention of it either a few hours ago on the phone. In fact.. description clearly states ‘Immaculate condition’. Bloke wanders off and doesnt come back.

Thanks for all the responses.. much appreciated.

One last (and it will be the last I promise) question..

The wife (who will be driving more than me) has decided she prefers the look of the l200.

Of the two vehicles below.. which would you choose.. both have full mitsu service history. both same price. identical model.

08 diesel manual 1 owner but with 108k motorway miles (owner was a service station maintenance company). but with no tow bar 🙁

06 diesel manual 3 owners with 77k on the clock. already has the tow bar.

As I already said.. I have considered all options..

I tow heavy boats or a caravan.. very often.

2-3 times a week I drive offroad miles down very pot holed (sometimes flooded) tracks.

I always have stinky damp sail/surf gear which I definitely do not want to share a cabin with (believe me).

Same for the big family dogs.

Sometimes need to carry 4 people comfortably at the same time with above stuff.

Looks like a Pickup ticks all the boxes still for me.

In fact where do you put your bikes. Every pickup Ive seen with bikes on it, I think surely an estate car would have been more pratical… in fact any car..

I have already given a lot of thought into this and a pickup with box on the back is ideal for reasons explained in the original post.

Hilux is out the question. I agree they’re better and for that reason there’s not many about s/h and at the right price.

Pretty much same thing happened to my wife.. Took the renault espace to a national tyre place to have the front tyres changed.

Wife was driving home with two babies and a toddler in the back and the front wheel came off (well.. it didnt come off.. it sort of flopped 30degs as the likelyhood of all bolts coming out before wheel comes dislodged is pretty thin). I got car fixed and a verbal apology.

Update: I never went back there again though.

We have an AGA Ludlow 6.5kw burning wood. This is in a 1900 three storey victorian semi. It’s in quite a big living room, even so, with the door open it will warm the house enough for the heating to switch off.

Loads of these payday loan shops have popped up recently in my town.. I dread to think what kind of debt people are running up for themselves. Yet I walk past them most days and they always seem busy.

There’s even some hugely derided store called ‘brighthouse’ recently openned on the highstreet. I looked in the window and they had a Laptop that argos were selling for just over £300. I roughly worked out the repayments in my head and that laptop, which you could walk away with today without a deposit would cost you £1345 overall !!

I just dont get how peoples need for the latest fad can overide their basic grip of home finance.

Or could it be that the NHS in Scotland has heehaw to do with the UK government as it’s a devolved matter?

I Never knew that.. so is scotlands nhs solely financed by scotland NI receipts then?

If not, I wonder what will happen come independance (should it ever happen)?

Thanks for the advice.. rang nhs direct.. booked in to gp.

unsucessful google search firstly gave me the nhs24 number for scotland 🙁 Why do scotland need a different number for nhs phone advice? seems a bit odd.

    Should have read the smallprint..

Couple of bands I used to like and follow on facebook/twitter before they got big.

Then I realised they only ever posted when they had a new album or a tour coming up so now I dont.

Ever since uni where I studied linguistics, I’ve been baffled by our (NNotts) accents similarity to Lancs which is so far away.

To be fair he’s not a million miles away from my hometown accent actually.
That’s north Notts coal mining slang, FYI.

Agreed.. loads of people speak like that round here NNotts (I’m in Retford). 40 miles from Kirmington though.

We do have a bit of an unexplained Lancashire twang round here too.

    I assume you have..

    A. a static ip at the shop (Or used dyndns or similar)

    B. opened up the router to allow pass through to the camera..

    C. connected to the external ip of the router and not the internal one used whilst in the store..
