Sweating like a scouser in currys here.. just got out the bath after a hard sesh at the gym.. missus has the place at about 30c and is sat with her feet on a hot water bottle. She’s adamant that the house is cold !!!

I wear baggy shorts over tights in winter (and sometimes in summer, but I pull them up to just below the knee for the sake of fashion).

Been riding where I shouldn’t for a very long time (when I say a long time I mean pre MTB days, where a pushbike fitted with cowhorn bars and the thickest tyres available up the top of kinder drew amazed onlookers rather than unwelcome gestures) .. Unless aggression is shown to me I always plead ignorance in a polite way.

If they’re very rude.. I’m rude in return. If they’re aggressive (that’s only happened the once mind) I answer in kind.

Rule of thumb for me is that I ALWAYS show courtesy, slow down, give a smile and a thanks for people who I inconvenience along the way.

Patronising people you bump into on manicured, flat woodland trails with all the gear and no idea who, when you stop to admire their expensive top of the range bike suggest you should really be wearing a helmet

Russell Kane.. now there’s a ‘comedian’ whose popularity I just dont get.

And over the last year he seems to have morfed from this bland looking, unfunny comedian into this caricature of a close to death gay smack addict.

Saw a black panther on the eastern edge of Clumber park (Near Sherwood forest) once whilst out on the bikes.. no one believes us though 🙁

That puts me off being in the forest alone.

I bought one from the now defunked NETTO for £49. And it’s been great. I even ran it on pure petrol for ages before I realised (yeah stupid) and it still runs like a dream.

Yep.. just got the Alpkit. Great light.. great service. They even came with decent duracell batteries which was a nice bonus.

Thoroughly recommend them.
