More worrying whilst watching the vid was the chance of a log going under the wheel and the truck driving off the jack.

It was a tongue in cheek comment about the amount of ‘intimacy’ in the program.. I’ve never read the book (never heard of it) and only caught the last 15 minutes of the program but those 15mins consisted mostly of ‘female chests’ and ‘intimacy’.

Apparently I have to tone down the ‘sexist fantasies’.

I cant believe I’ve just had a ‘warning’ for my previous post on this thread.

Are people on this site really that sensitive? I was commenting on a program that had LOTS of (lets call it ‘intimacy’ for the timid minds on here) in it.. IT WAS A JOKE FOR GOD SAKE!!!!!!

I just stack mine in the shed.. but have noticed they dry better outside under the car port. I imagine in a greenhouse you’d suffer from a lot of condensation.

I have the paid version of Endomondo. It’s great and worth every one of the ten pences I paid for it.

Fantastic app and it does indeed give speed per km/m

In my humble opinion it needed a bit of tweaking..

Certainly needed more flesh.. a better looking leading lady.. and maybe a one on one with her and the french bird.. cut out all the trench stuff too (or at least put some chics in there to liven it up a bit).

Apart from that it was ok..

I have tried so, so hard to like real ale! It just doesnt ‘do it’ for me…I am a failure as a man.

    OP – whats the secret?

The secret is to keep trying them. Somewhere out there is a proper beer to suit every palette.. it just takes a lot of tasting sometimes to find it.

Morrisons always have a great selection.. Alternatively, a bikeride that takes in a couple of local micro breweries is always a popular run with the lads, and with the added benefit of guiltless drinking by remaining calorie neutral.

1 pint per 5 miles being our usual guage (Offroad of course)

I have the 1.6 tdci.. FANTASTIC on fuel but wish I’d gone for the 1.8 for the extra pulling power as the fuel economy difference looks tiny on paper..

elzorillo, looks good hoping to do something similar to ours.
Logs are a bit close tho aren’t they

I thought they would get hot but they dont. Just about all of the heat is above half way up the burner. I even have a couple of candles either side of the burner without them melting.

Suppose it depends on the draw and as I lined the chimney the draw is excellent.

If you need any tips just ask.

As I said.. I don’t actually know anyone who hunts but I know a few sabs (hunt saboteurs) and you could never wish to meet a more vicious, blinkered, self righteous, downright evil group of people.

RE fox number.. I’ve seen a massive increase in the number of foxes along my night time biking routes over the last few years.

Religious slaughter is a valid point.. Do you uphold the freedom for people to kill animals in a barbaric way due to their religious/cultural beliefs yet not others due to their historic/cultural pastimes?

What I don’t understand is that the people who are opposed to hunting foxes will quite readily shovel meat down their neck from an animal that has seen nothing but cruelty for it’s whole tragic young life.

I’m not a fox hunter nore do I even know anyone who is, but I see most people who are against fox hunting simply following the pack (get the pun) to get a dig at the posh lot.

Truthfully not found anything that I like to ride better than the one I already have ‘Kona Hei Hei Supreme’.

Only other bike I’ve ridden that came close was a Cannondale rize.

Same here.. had a lot of surgery on both my tib and fib from some very bad breaks, resulting in not much movement in the ankle. Makes it hit/miss whether I can get out of spd so now only use flats.

Just a little point, I once stayed at a keycamp in the South of France.

The following year I booked direct with the site, got a much nicer caravan at half the price!

Find a nice site – look at their own website!

This is true and I’ve done it myself. Only down side was that the kids missed out on all the organised stuff.

Stayed at Eurocamp/keycamp ‘Internacional de Calonge’ in northern spain a few times.

Great place with loads to do (some great riding trails along the coast too).

    Excellent trollage.

If you’re serious though, you wont mind some MX-ers coming down and wrecking your usual trails?

It was indeed a joke 🙂 although saying that.. I bent the forks on my first proper mountainbike 20 odd years ago jumping into a sand pit at the local golf course.

The Lonsdale Leather three in one is a great little bag for a small space. We have a couple at our gym and they are great for combinations, general work out etc. We’ve gone through a LOT of bags over the years and have a few different types of bags from this range and they stand up to a lot of hammer.

Another benefit of the three in one is that it has a bottom anchor. Fix it loosely to the floor with some bungy and it will still swing enough for you to move about but wont get out of control in a small place ie garage.

If you fancy something a little heavier this is another great allrounder from the same range..

Alternatively get yourself down to your local boxing gym.. best bunch of fellas you could ever wish to meet (out of the ring that is ) .

I hope it doesnt die out.. some golf courses make excellent jump sites.. and they are so kind too, they even put sandy landing pits right next to the jumps.

Approx ten years ago my (now very modest) IT company was supplying multimillion pound contracts to a very large national company. Their head of IT hinted to me that he wanted a kickback for placing such large orders with me. I foolishly declined and we lost the contract and with it I had to get rid of five staff.

I later lost another very large contract with another national due to the same person.

    The Gamma weak?? really??

I bought one on the recommendations from this forum and have been really pleased with it.

    Bit of a rant..

Personally think this quest for more lumens is getting out of hand. I have a hope vision 2 on the bike and an alpkit gamma on my head and it is more that adequate for even the most sketchy of night rides. Even downhill on fast singletrack through forest I’ve NEVER felt I didnt have enough light.

Soon enough we’ll have restrictions on them if this carries on. I already have an idiot mate who has on more than one occasion nearly causes accidents with oncoming cars whilst heading out/home.

At the end of the day I want to go out, ride and comfortably see ahead, not light up the whole forest or become a menace to others.
