    Cannabis is not a painkiller.

It may relax muscles and alter the sensation of pain or just mean you don’t give a shit about it but it does not act as a painkiller in any conventional sense.

You sound convincing.. but you’re totally wrong as usaul.

That doesn’t mean I would ever recommend cannabis, purely due to the proven long term psychotic effects.

10-20 years ago it would have been a good idea. These days it would be madness to even think you could make anything other than pocket money at it.

    Few reasons for you..

FAR too many people doing it already..

Those that are.. kids.. unemployed, doing it for peanuts.

Computer use is declining in the home as more and more services move over to mobile devices/smart tv’s..

Insurance costs are astronomical these days (are you willing to take the risk of a computer being damaged whilst in your possession and you having to replace it?)

Laptop prices rendering some almost throw away items not worth repairing.

Most clientèle using you because then know you, and expecting a reduced fee/free service.

The list is endless. The idea madness.

    Sorry 🙁

I hate the ‘It’s in my genes/I dont eat much’ excuses.

Let’s face facts… It’s imossible to put on body fat if you use more calories than you consume.

Let someone lock you in a room for a month with only water and salad.. lets see if it really is your ‘genes’.

Edit: That post may seem a little harsh, but I know so many fat bstrds who are in complete and utter denial.

About a third of my route (did it last night) is VERY sandy.. Just keeping the front end as light as possible usually does the trick for me.

Them Spank Spikes look very nice.. although hell would have to freeze over before I’d pay £90 for a pair of pedals.

    Simple DIY chimney clean:

Nip up on the roof and drop a live chicken down the flue.

    Sorted.

What he said.. but for a 6inch flue you’ll need a bantam.

In a particularly harsh winter in the 80s (I was about 13) a male blackcap came into our garden to help himself to the seed bowl. I was ECSTATIC!

Didn’t want to let him go so I shot him with my Webley Hurricane*

    *complete fabrication.

You spoilt a good wind up with the last bit.

Done mine a few times.. Created a lot of mess too (cream carpets).

Luckily you have an access plate (I dont). Just leave the stove door closed and most of the soot should end up in there.

Out night riding and we came to a gate blocking out path with a barn owl sat on it.. It wouldn’t move and none of us were brave enough to shoo it off.. It stared us out for about 2mins in the glare of our night lights before casually flying away.

Used to be a delphi programmer about ten years ago (or more). Thought boreland went tits up and delphi was pretty much obsolete.

Was on the beeb the other day.. the speed you walk is an indication to your risk of developing dementia..

Those with a slower walking speed were found to be one and a half times more likely to develop dementia

A group of us were riding along a hedgerow from Retford (Notts) towards clumber park one warm summers evening. Two of us were about 40-50 metres ahead. We heard something big running along side of us in the fully grown corn field the other side of the hedge. Both immediately stood on our pedals and looked over to see a BIG black cat turn away and run off towards the trees at a tremendous pace. It was as big as a labrabor (but longer), jet black and frighteningly fast.

Been night riding longer than I care to remember. Not solo though, and judging by the amount of deer we keep running into lately, I recon on my own they may have a go

The problem with most backup solutions is that there is a LOT of work to do should there be a data failure.

In my opinion you simply cannot beat a properly mirrored drive (including boot sector) and a straight swap. 2mins and back up and running.

I just use a second hard disk drive and the fantastic xxclone utility to do a disk image once a day.

Any problem and a simple disk swap is all thats required.

Cheap as chips, ultra reliable, minimal downtime and no messing about with backups if it goes tits up.

A pal had a cage made from this stuff..

Got up with his baby at 4am and caught someone in his garage. The guy had completely dismantled the bike through the bars leaving just the frame. He’d even removed the forks!!

Luckily he caught him and severe old style justice was dealt 😉

I agree it is ‘usable’ but to have to copy paste the message you’re replying to and insert the quote tags is a pain.. It also makes following a conversation with more than one previous quote almost impossible to follow without faffing around splitting the posts up, inserting the users name etc etc

It’s plainly obvious when you compare it to just about every other forum our there that it leaves a lot to be desired.

Edit: Nested quotes is a good thing in my opinion. At least people can see who you are replying to and why.

Do you actually ride on the roads elzorillo

Cycled to work on the roads for 20+ years.. raced (world champs 89/90).. rode for pleasure my whole life.. Done the lot, but never once viewed myself above giving way to other road users once in a while.

They won’t though, because of the laws of physics.

They will though.. Someone who sees a foot of space adequate to safely pass a cyclist will do the same for two. Of course they’ll need more space overall, but they’ll still overtake just as close.
