Agree… perceived an expensive sport yet cheaper than a decent mtb.

Frontline has always worked in the past with our animals but has failed to work this past few months. I tried the new Bob Martin stuff (same active ingredient as frontline) didnt work either.

After looking on the net, apparently fleas have built up some tollerance to frontline. I was recommended something called ‘advantage’ which seems to have worked. Similar to frontline but with a differant active ingredient.

And a spray for the house called ‘Indorex’ was recommended by the vet.

Both are available online.

So small that they’re not worth the hassle.

As a guy who spent a couple of grand and a couple of very painful years having his missspent youth tatts slowly lasered off.. Only to immediately have a couple done again.

‘Boat envy’

This is the only downside to owning a boat.

Still on the sailing theme.. 15 minutes of pure relaxing bliss.. Whack it on full screen and take in the amazing sights..

I’ve windsurfed for years.. Often whilst taking a break I’d sit and watch the sailing.. ‘God awful boring pastime’ I would always think.. Then the club threatened to take my boatpark space away as I didnt have a boat, so I bought one.

I should never have decided to have a go in it. It really is the most fun you can have on the water. When the wind is blowing, the buzz is equal to anything I’ve ever experienced MTBing.

Absolutely love it.

Had a look at some vids of kettlebell workouts and personally, looks like a receipe for serious injury (and frankly.. most of the guys doing it dont look that healthy).

Not a stat but a simple fact.. Before the age of twenty Id already lost half a dozen pals my age from motorcycle accidents. Yet after almost 35 years of adult cycling competative/leisure.. I’ve personally never known a single death (Thank god).

Sorry.. but if someone had the nerve to actually come up to me, a grown man able to make my own decision, and tried to force their opinion on me, I dread to think what my reply would be.

I do a sort of four way rotation.. First they go in an outside store with waterproof roof for seasoning.. then chopped to size and move into a big open shed.. Then I have a massive wicker basket in the rear entranceway to the house which I keep filled, transfering as I need them to a smaller one next to the burner.

Religeously monitored my weight for the past 18+ years through boxing (Have to be weighed at the gym at least three times a week etc and never much deviated from 81kg). Seems I can eat pretty much what I want without effect. In fact.. seems weird but sugary items such as biscuits etc appear to increase my motabalism and make me LOSE weight 😕

Only time ever went above 82kg was when I ate a full English every day for a week.

Couple of friends have just gone through it.. Both teachers.. Took bloody years of ridiculous faffing about.

What amazes me is that any old scrote can go get pregnant yet to adopt, the social services make you jump through hoops FOR YEARS!

Many years ago I was sold a ‘four’ speed car and happily used it as such for three years before a friend borrowed it and took great delight in pointing out it was actually a ‘five’ speed box with a four speed gear knob 😳

well, i’ve just completed an 8 month ou course on empire so i’d like to think that my opinions on the matter are based on more than prejudice.

That explains a lot.. It’s prerequisite for any OU course to include a substantial amount of anti British retoric regardless of the subject at hand.

Hard to get a decent ride in these days as you’re constantly stuck behind people. Red route has been uprgaded recently though so worth a punt.

Single status is a public sector pay review set to harmonise pay structures for all public sector employees.

I believe it all started when some dinner ladies (primarily women) decided to sue their local autority employer as they felt descriminated against due to rubbish collectors (primarily men) getting paid more.

Unfortunately most authorities have simply used the review to slash wages.

True, but she loves the job and has been doing it for almost twenty years. Seven years working voluntary then three years college to achieve a job with pay not much better than minimum wage seems such a waste now.
