For the short amount of time we spend on the roads during nights out on the bikes.. suprisingly we always get some car load of scrotes shouting abuse and generally being a pain. We have been known to catch the odd one though, which is always fun.

Goes with the teritory and whether you’re on a bike, jogging or walking the dog, they’d still do it.

Never seen the attraction, but what really put me off was seeing one of my old mates sat deadly still in this umbarella/tent thing for three whole days and nights.. I visited him a couple of times as he sat there motionless, staring into the water. On the third day I said.. ‘how many you caught?’

His answer in a steely determined voice.. ‘None.. YET’

Pal I go out with has some fetish for dazzling oncoming cars.. has his hope vision 4 on max and points them straight into the eyes of oncoming cars.. Loads of times we’ve had cars have to slow/stop or put their high beam on. Drives the rest of us mad but he wont do anything about it. Small man syndrome at a guess.

Cancer scares the shit out of me.. Why o why with all the money thrown at research can we not get one over on this horrible disease!!

The is no way in hell that they are going to stop the spread, so why not let nature take it’s course. Then repopulate with saplings from the ones that survive and have resistance.

Badgers, foxes, see them all when out riding locally. Deer are the most common thing I see though. One nearly knocked me off my bike once in Sherwood pines!! Round the back of the woods where the old jump site used to be. Big bugger too!!

This may sound crazy.. but with the restricted movement, future constant pain etc did you ever consider the better option would be to lose the foot?

Reason I ask is that I fell 30ft when I was 16.. landed stood up and broke both my legs pretty bad.

Luckily they both fixed and I had a pretty full sporting life (only restriction being running distance). Even 30 years on my left ankle often gives me pain, leaving me wondering if in older life it would be better not to have it there.

Yeah.. weird, but have you considered it?

It’s not for me.. the missus went through a mid life crisis and started smoking to keep the middle age spread at bay!!! As per most people, exercise just seemed the last option so she took the easy way out !

I’m hoping these will get her off. I hate the smell.. do the e-cigs smell?

You’ll be dissapointed to hear that the wife was very understanding.

This has unnerved me somewhat though as she’s normally the sort to go absolutely balistic.

I use probably 8-10 logs a night.. Once it’s going well with sticks I fill it choca then leave it till it burns right down to a few embers. Then I fill it again.

This two or three times will usually see us through the whole evening.
