Good news. Sounds as though I wont prematurely dry out my rp3 then 😉

Interesting. Do you live in a predominantly rural setting if you don’t mind me asking? I live in a city & found NFU wouldn’t insure me as they didn’t consider it to be a rural setting 🙁

Not feeling the poo at the moment & still not subsided. At least the gf is asleep now & doesn’t have to suffer any longer. Reckon my morning coffee might help.

I’m usually quite gassy but these ones have a sharp smell. And the hangtime is immense. Diet is usually good but I have been craving a lot of stodgy food lately with the cold weather so wonder if that’s the cause.

    Nauseated, surely

Apt username there given the topic 😉

I’d say so. Given, not a physically demanding sport – much like snooker in that respect – but mentally I imagine it would be in order to compete at the top level. Not many other hobbies have world championships either. 🙂

Garry Kasparov. Pretty much dominated chess championships for the duration of his 20 odd year career.

Mmm, I know its for a good cause and all that but for some reason I’m finding some of the facial expressions on this thread rather disturbing 😀

    Sad dad news. RIP Marco.

Has been a bad past year for motor sport really, Tomizawa, then Wheldon recently and now today. 🙁

Few friends of mine have worked on the shut downs at the oil refineries down Pembrokshire/Milford Haven way. They used to earn big bucks for a few months a year. Rate of pay would be approx equivalent to a £40k p/yr job if it lasted that long.

Just the one thanks Ambrose but think I may have a solution as found a brake bleed syringe from an old set of Giant MPH brakes I have in the spares box at the back of the cupboard!

I’m an impatient sod so wanted to do it tomorrow but will try mail order if I get desperate.

Stick em to your garage (if you have one) wall where your car doors would normally open, thus minimising the chance of damage.

Alternatively fashion some rather plush chain stay 😉 protectors

Hmm, so a bit more tricky to source than I first thought.

Sure I remember my parents used to have a small one they used to administer medicine to the cat so perhaps the vets is the best bet.

Apparently the average semen per ejaculate is 2-5ml so I could probably do a visual estimate if all else fails 🙂

Been looking at Thomson but cannot find one in 50mm length with a 25.4 clamp.

There seems to be very few choices out there sadly.

I’m no expert but was recently researching laptop specs etc prior to purchase and from the info I was told the quad core Phenom sits between and Intel Core i3 and i5. So theoretically should be quicker that the dual core Phenom.

From memory the PC techie guy we spoke to also mentioned that the AMD Phenom processors use a dedicated gaphics card rather than rely on a portion of the processor.

Like I said though, I’m not an expert on these matters so I wouldn’t take my word as gospel. For what its worth though we have an HP from PC World (was £450) that am very happy with. Knocks the socks off my old celeron powered laptop 🙂

Not too clued up on my seasons across but I believe places like Egypt, Tunisia, Morocco are meant to have decent weather pretty much all year around.

We booked a last minute hol back in April and a lot of travel agents had very cheap deals (all inclusive 5* hotels for around £250pp) to these resorts but I guess that’s a byproduct of the political troubles they experienced earlier in the year and trying to get the tourism market back on track.

We were (rightly or wrongly) a bit put off by this as it was only a month or so after the riots had calmed down and ended up with 5 nights in in the Algarve, Lagos.

I used to have a Philips shaver albeit a cheaper model and didn’t get on with it too well. Personally I found the rotary Philips type pulled the hairs around my neck, but I’ve got pretty thick head hair and fairly coarse wiry facial hair, i.e. if I used a disposable wet shaver I would have such a bad shaving rash.

I changed to a Braun foil type shaver with the natty cleaning and charging station and find that gives me a much closer shave with less irritation for me. Has been reliable for me so far and you can just pop it back into its charging cradle which saves the faff of cleaning the blades or rinsing under a tap.

I found this http://www.shavers.co.uk/choosingshaver_v1.php%5D site was quite a useful source of info too.

Thought I remembered reading something a while ago regarding itunes that prevented different devices from using the same pc, but perhaps that was aimed at preventing you popping over to a mates house and downloading all his itunes account!

I once met a man from Bengal
Who went to a fancy dress ball

He thought he would risk it
    And dress as a biscuit
But a dog ate him up in the hall

Old I know but I really enjoyed The Prestige – caught it on telly a while ago.

Also, The Blindside. Never thought I would enjoy a Sandra Bullock film but was a real feel good flick.

Mmm, so in essence cheaper to buy the bike with the set up you want and stick with it.

Regarding geometry I’ve checked On-One and the Pomp seems to have the same effective top tube size for both the flat and drop bar version which seems to contradict what was said above?

Another slight hijack – anyone know whats happened to the BBC Sport live text feed for the TDF this year?

I saw they covered the first two stages but not yesterday or today by the looks of it. I rely on that to keep up to speed until I can watch the ITV highlights.

I used to be a damm site better & more technically adept than I am now. Was on my bike every night after school when I was in my mid teens – could bunnyhop well, pre jump drops to transition with confidence, X-ups, mini tabletops & all that. No chance currently.

Thats sad to hear about mtb-wales as I always meant to post on that site to meet up with some locals for riding around Tongwynlais, particularly as my knowledge of that area isn’t too hot. I always liked the sound of the Weds night rides too.

I would be up for this Sunday but alas I’m moving house this weekend so a bit chaotic at the moment but definitely up for future rides if people post up on here (providing mods dont mind too much) 🙂

We’ve recently taken delivery of two for a couple of our larger sites.

Great piece of equipment that hopefully will not need to use but good to have just in case. We’ve also registered its location with the Ambulance Service so if they are ever on call and have requirement to use a defib our could be borrowed. I always assumed all ambulances had defibrillators but not so thats the case. Happy to stand corrected though.

Ditto. Mazda 323f here as well. Really like the car but after reading posts on a mazda forum on rust I’ve noticed the rear arches on mine are starting to bubble.

Elbow are a great band but are not a James where you can almost listen to every trac k without wanting to push the forward button.

Must admit that Whiplash is one of the those albums for me. Though I do like ELbow too but this comment just reminded me how much I like James.

Three gig?! Holy hell. What’s it contain, the Internet?

I remember receiving a 48 GB e-mail from someone at work a few months ago. I almost went over and slapped them!

Is the original doc in Word? If so I’ve had luck right clicking on images and compresssing images/reducing resolution for web viewing? Makes quite a bit of difference to file size.
