hmmmm we use hardcastle craggs often.. but (touch wood) not come across anything like this… and i can honestly say ‘yup im local’ ! maybe he can spot ‘unlocals hundreds of miles away… :wink: :mrgreen:
you either stick with all sram or all shimano cos they are both different ratios…dont mix sram and shimano together..not compatible….i started off on all sram stuff very good…..but i use all shimano stuff these days… :wink:
do you have to have a heart-rate monitor ? if you dont have one ..you wont have to be worried ! :wink:
all these gadgets scare the pants of people…thats why i dont have gadgets like that…..i dont want to know….when im ready to keel over my body will tell me within an instant and thats it…. i dont want to be worried about numbers i just wana ride and have fun….not being distracted by numbers on a gadget that possibly will be lying to me ! :wink: :mrgreen:
i used to climb about 3-4 years ago…. started on Boreal shoes, then got me a pair of ‘la sportiva’ which helped me climb better somewhat….then i got a third pair…cant remeber the name now…but they rubbed my feet like crazy….. i cant stress enuff on how much climbing shoes really do hurt your feet when you start climbing….. they are a different fit to your normal trainer….. like a slipper but tight !!!!!…..whatever shoe size you are ive heard people say get 2 sizes smaller than your normal shoe size….god i duno about that…maybe one size smaller…
you will just have to try some on and get good advice from the climbing shops…..
ive been promising myself to get back into the bouldering asap….since MTB’ing has taken over my life….big style…i must i must…climb climb climb….lol tho the boulders are green n slippery at this time of the year..lol
hmmm i just sold 2 rotars a few weeks back,,,,, have look in the ‘for sale’ section….plenty off stuff for sale

i was on a ride the other day with a five month old husky (tho he looks older due to the size of him)…we were out for 2 hours ( biscuites n water for husky onboard)….but he just kept on running and running and running….he was amazing…
eye, yep, had a muddy ride yesterday over Summit area at Littleborough and around Blackstone Edge…nice loop with a good grassy downhil decent closely followed by my sons running Husky dog …just kept on running…. :wink:
goo0d choice for Apple green….i have that colour…tho there was another green ..was it ‘neon green’..
another colour that isnt seen too much is ‘sinbad purple’ (one of the colours from the orange factory…..my sons orange alpine is sinbad purple …tis a cool colour ! :wink:
ok cheers…. just that im in a fix at the mo…. i very recently put fat alberts on and altho they are fantastic for downhill..they much harder to climb with…. the tyres have made my bike extremely heavy ! lol….. they are amuch bigger tyres than im used to (26×2.35 ) as opposed to 26×2.2 mountain king were my summer tyres and 26×2.10 kenda blue groove also….
so bigger difference in weight…..duno wot to do but they are heavy…lol

anyway took it back to the bike shop first thing, and its all fixed agin..no extra charge (and a free mince pie and a brew..lol im happy now !!!! :wink:
i have a raleigh estelle racing road bike in my attic its about 20 year old…lol god its a heavy sod !!!!! the paintwork is amazing on it…prob get more for it if i had it weighed in…lol :wink:

eh ? what ya mean Kaesae? it did work on the last two rides then just randomly acted up for me tonite and srated playing silly beggers as i went to the other bike shop to change my saddle.. good job they noticed it….
me strip it down ???? lol thats a joke aint it…hahahah im not mechanicaly sound like that lol.. nope it wasnt doing that before i went to bike shop.. it just randomly went wrong today on its own accord…
