i can only fit 13 inch frame !!! just rang leisure lakes back and they said they have instore 2 womens xc marins to have a look at for size and they are size exra small so i will have alook at those and a small specialized saffire (but to try it with one of their chopped seatposts just to try for size…..
im going to struggle very much ! when god handed out long legs (he forgot me !!!! lol.

hmmmm abit pricy for the spec..id want better forks than dart two for £1,222 quid ! oh dear !
looking at around £1,300 for a full suss… but need decent spec for that… (thats why i was loooking at cannondale and specialized….
i sat on a size small “specialized safire”, and couldnt even get on the seat properly…. id end up sawing the seatpost to fit me !! jeepers this is becoming a quest to find a bike that fits me and decent spec… anyone got a stretch machine that i could borrow ? fed up of my tiny tiny size . lol

well im stuck between specialized and cannondale i like them both alot,,, you wouldnt believe the bother im having with any bike i sit on… they are all too big, so thats why i have to stick with womens spec… no good getting a small mans as thats too big… my current specialized hardtail is 13 inch frame and suits me fine for height…. really really sruggling to find another bike that fits ?

peteimpreza yep ive rung him today too and he is going to check the availability for me ( so fingers crossed too)…. heres hoping i can try one out somewhere, as my i ride with my son all over the fells, and he rides Cannondale and simply loves it ! he had upgraded a few stuff (like you do), and as soon as the new cannondale came up on the websites i was getting excited to try one out… (me being petit in size is abit of a problem ….i need a stretch machine .lol

i spoke to someone at Evans cycles this morning about the specialized pitch (is that the one with 140 mm travel your on about ? he told me that bike was bit of an Enduro bike really and more suitable for downhill riding mostly due to the longer travel forks…
cross country he suggested (which is what im after suggesting the ‘specialized safire comp’….
also i have been looking on the website at the Cannondale Rush womens bike – due out 10th march …
but unlike me you have alot more height about you so you could get away with a mans bike….. im only just 5ft small so a mans bike for me (the standover reach is not good…. so i have to stick with womens bikes really.. and get a small framed bike…. im looking at getting full suss but prob stick with specialized…..i like their bikes !

that happened to a mate of mine the other day ! it bent . this can happen if you dont oil your chain regularly. if you wash the bike and leave it to dry then you get a rusty chain within a few days, then links can dry and seize up then get bent. so every time you wash the bike (Always oil afterwards and obviously oil before you set off… dont think our mate oiled his chain properly !! it was a a newish chain too !
