i dont think the centre line is flawed at all ?.. ( this is a pretty strict area the way my hubby teaches it…
my hubby Trained along with some of the best (wong chun leung) style..
… there are a few different styles of 'wing chun' and each teacher- teaches different /styles/techniques, etc… depends who you have trained with to be the 'best of the best'….

'blocking' never hardley fails in my hubbys classes.. ? you must be going to the wrong classes then ? lol. ….
wing chun is an art in its self, and if your prepared to learn the whole system and stick at it , and have a great instructor , you,re onto a winner…

..but Martial Arts is an Art in itself….. theres ,much to learn, discipline as well as the fancy techniques… would anyone have told Bruce Lee not to fight ? i dont think so……. close contact fighting teaches you how to block an opponents incoming fist, there are many 'blocking' techniques and 'Chi sau' is a good way of practicing skills .. get a good instructor tho cos there are too many ( 'think they no it all' characters out there, and you may end up being disappointed………

ps…. you all mite scoff at my thread but if you had a nervous whippet to live with day in day out and have much bigger dogs scaring the life out of him then you have no compassion,,,gooodbye!

wen my whippet was tiny ,he saw his father dog being ravished by a big dog…. (the father) had to have 17 stitches…so the youngest whippet has always been terrified of other dogs… hes always screaming wen other dogs try to get near him… not all dogs are friendly…. so my dog isnt sociable at all with any dog… its just the way hes grown up to be scared of other dogs ?
maybe i need Ceaser Millan drafted in from America…

im same size as your wife !!!! hoooray i thort i was the smallest mtb-er on ere actually…
in only just 5ft small too…. couple of years ago i started out on a Hardtail-'specialized' which was just a 13 inch frame…..got that from Leisurelakesbikes.com,, it was a good size for my body….. i still ride it occaisionaly after upgrading the spec…. then 2 years further down the line i upgraded to a full sus…. its an 'orange five pro' bike which is a '14 inch' (small) frame….
i can ride it well… i wouldnt get any bigger frame otherwise the 'standover' height is a problem… think i tried a small 'marin' frame once but it was too big…. so 13 or 14 inch is the perfect size for us tiny people…
