i had my forks serviced by Loco tuning around november last year…
what will happen if i leave it a long time, obviously it will get worse but will it damage the forks if i leave it alone until it becomes more obvious…

have you a record time ? most people rant about this….if it takes longer than 2 hours then your crap apparently ….lol :wink:

right ok thanks for that Coatsey… but you’d think that the bushes were idealy re-placed if you get your forks ‘serviced once a year’. shouldnt that be the norm in theory..i would have thought so anyway.. so who replaces bushes then..

ok so only 8 months down the line after servicing…i also have a bit of black oil appearing on one of the stanchions.not too bad at the mo but its noticeable will keep my eye on it ..hmmm…how long do bushings last…and do they do this in the service ? i dont know much about the servicing of forks ive only ever had my fox forks service just the once..what procedures do they do..

i have Hope headset on my orange five…. 2 years later still going strong…. :wink: through plenty if muddy winters muddy summers etc..lol :wink:

it will be very boggy in sections i was out a few days ago and got the black foot scenerio and (that was on cobbles too…some deep hidden bogginess out there and rooty sectons !!! have fun wherever you go theres ‘loads to go at’…me i will be collecting my bike tomoro after a new BB is being installed so hopefully i mite be out on sunday.. :wink:

yep my son has one and after seeing how bright it was ….i bought one and im very pleased with mine i wear mine on my helmet…you can pan around alot more if its on ya noggin..lol….. have a look at this price thats a great saving… :wink:

so are Hope floating rotars no good then for your bike..

i use two but lately if its not too tricky a decent ive begun to use one (wot a clever girlie i am…lol :wink:

nope done all the necessary checks…. another possibility is to change the bearings in my raceface bottom bracket too…. anyway sending it to bike shop see what they can sus out… :wink:

so just a follow up..i rang the Orange factory this morning for some advice…. and they said tighten the quick release which i did alot of yesterday…. The Bearings/bushes are SEALED say Orange so dont need replacing too often ! one more thing to try is to take out the Bearings and to GREASE them….. so i think i mite try that…see if that stops the creaking… :wink:

lol im on another thread talking about creaking bikes (constant loud creaking from my bike all day today…have you got an orange five bike by any chance…apparently its a common fault (oh)…. grease your rear quick release (after you.ve cleaned it of course ( also loosen/tighten your quick release a few times…ive tried these minor probs that crop up but im thinking the loud creaking noise on my bike is the need to change the bushes/bearings ….im ringing the orange factory shop tomorow for advice about this continous creaking…its soooooooo **** ANNOYING….ARRRGGGGGGGG,, :wink: :mrgreen:

ive done the greasing of skewer and the brass thing already today after washing my bike..so done that already… still creaking… we undid rear bolts of the rear sus so the swing arm was loose and rattles it side to side and it creaks, ..i cant tell you how annoyingly loud this creaking is now…grrrr… no i havent squirted GT 85 on the bushes just so you know…

yep i was out with my son this morning 10-1pm ish in home of singletrack land…. quite boggy under foot today the peat was sodden..lol…did lots of rocky stuff and lots of singletrack stuff too… great when its not hissing it down…lol :wink:

there are horses occaisionaly i cycle up that way often but more often than not i see horses regularly at Bottomly (MTL) :wink:

i recently bought a road bike, and initially i was looking at the cannondale synapse (this was back in early may, and i was speaking to leisurelkaes bikes who wouldnt have them in until august ? anyway i went round to other bike shops like you do and ended up in Leeds and bought the Specialized Dolce….. its a great bike for the money ! anyway heres their website…
