yeah when i first started mtb’ing about 3-4 years ago i regularly went caving so i strapped my Petzl caving lamp on me noggin…. tho it wasnt bright enuff really… the head lamp itself took about 6 small batteries…. was bright enuff down a cave cos its proper pitch black down under…. but when i went nite riding i was out longer hours and the batteries soon dimmed and didnt last long enuff… shame really…

yep use it as a bike mat for the winter and cut a smaller piece of mat for your back door so the doggies can wipe their feet (no more muddy footprints (hahhahah)

    tires ?
any more info crickey…..so what your saying is run the same tryes on whatever bike you have forever… i thnk we all need mud tyres for winter on out MTB,s tho… i run mountain kings in summer and a thicker tyre in winter on the MTB..or is it all just a gimmik and we are all wasting our hard earned cash…

they are very chunky and give you good support at the ankle, but the down side is they take for ever and a day to dry out… ive put mine in the washer b4 now when they got so muddy with boggy peat mud and it took 4-5days to completely dry out…. (not good)… i have a spare set of Gortex walking shoes that i use in normal weather ….i have sunline flat pedals so my feet dont slip… if i was to buy some more shoes i would go for something else. ive had a few pair of specialized mtb shoes but i seem to wear them out in 6 months of use ?
