As above, only delay was me getting to the post office to get the old one sent back. About three weeks in total. Shame the new one is a different colour though.

I got access within a few minutes of requesting it.

So far I’ve gotten a gory horror themed poem about naked mole rats, lots of cheese jokes and a denial about plans to strike first against humans.

I convinced an ex colleague that you could dig for cheddar cheese on the top of the Mendip hills.

If your background is banking then there are options that have a much better purpose than making/losing boat loads of cash.

We moved a few weeks ago, thankfully having fixed our deal at 1.95% a few months before for 10yrs. It would have been 3.5% for 5yrs by the time we moved and now the product isn’t being offered. Find a good mortgage broker. Ours found us much better deals than we found ourselves! Happy to recommend if you’re in the Bristol area.

Speak to all the agencies sound Bristol and let them know what you’re looking for. If rental is anything like buying, if it’s on Rightmove it’s usually gone unless you’re endlessly refreshing. Our house went on Rightmove at 5pm Thursday, 22 booking slots full by 7pm and sold by the Monday at 10% over asking. It’s ridiculous.

People stopping in doorways in busy places. People that can’t walk in a straight line. People who walk slowly. Groups of people having a chat in the middle of the high street pavement so no one can get past. Parking in bus lanes then moaning about traffic and/or that buses are never on time. Double yellow lines apparently meaning park on the pavement. The people who added a load of stuff to my recycling bins last night but put it all in the wrong ones so I had to sort it all again. I could go on and on. So many people failing rule one.

he’d spend every last penny he has on playing it, buying significantly more expensive stuff to play it fractionally better,

Sounds a lot like most mountain bikers

Uplift venues that charge more for eBikes.

Why would you need an uplift if you’ve got a motor bike?

You’ll struggle to find any flats in Saltford and houses will be well out of budget.

Re. Easton being dodgy, bits are still (M32 corridor) but larger swathes are now very gentrified.

Based on that info, Crews Hole sounds a good bet. Down by the river, on the east of the city, fairly quiet location with easy access to Barton Hill and the countryside in the opposite direction. My advice would be to drive as little as possible in Bristol.

How many Smiths fans does it take to change a lightbulb?

None, there is a light that will never go out.

They’re great. Really well made, sturdy enough to survive my toddler dropping it all over the place. The sound is decent enough for a single speaker and the battery is great. They will also repair them, which is handy. Fixed my brother in law’s with no questions asked. Pricey but good value given the quality.

I recommenda good mortgage broker if you’re having issues with that end. Ours sorted us a great deal.

This is all filling me with joy. Selling our house, FTB,10% over asking. Just had an offer accepted on the house we’d like after much hassle and disappointment searching. Fingers crossed it’s not such a shower. Bristol is nuts for housing at the moment.

Hang on, phone screens are glass yes? Who’s stupid enough to put glass where people might fall on it…?

You’ve met ‘people’ right? There’s nothing common about common sense.

our wall has an app where you can tick off which routes you have done, plus there a quite a few good climbers that put their climbs on instagram so others are watching for tips.

The wall I have membership at floated this idea on a recent customer survey. I’m very negative on phones on mat as it’s not only a landing hazard it also distracts people from their surroundings. Why does everything have to be on Instagram ffs?

As above comments, it’s annoying having phones and stuff left all over the mats. Zero sympathy if they get broken. I don’t get why people so desperately need to have them out when bouldering.

I’d imagine it’s the peppercorn corn ground rent. It looks like a few properties have purchased the freehold so there’s precedent. No aristocratic types in that particular suburban maze.

Essentially we would want control and freedom, partially because of the reason Muffin man pointed out. Sounds like it’s not too problematic to resolve though.

Lucky enough to have seen him DJ twice, not that I remember much of either time. I’m taking that as a good thing. Top bloke as well from what I gather.

We had the same issue with the neighborhood cats coming in to the house. Can’t remember which chip reading flap we got but it’s been without issue for 8yrs now. Batteries last around 6mths. Works whenever the cat is close enough, without fault.

A big box of climbing holds and the iou for timber to build a climbing wall in the garden (as yet unbuilt). I did spend the day on a Spanish hillside overlooking the med so that was nice.

Worth checking out Luo. They were excellent supporting the Physics House Band a few years back.

I’ve got Vennart with Sugar Horse supporting, Alpha Male Tea Party and Every Time I Die lined up over the coming months. I miss live music.
