I read somewhere that gut health has a direct influence on mental health and this can be referenced all over Google. As a result I now drink Kerfir and eat organic sauerkraut as they are extremely probiotic. I dont know if this is the reason why my mental state is much more consistent now, not full of the highs and lows of previous.

Just be aware initially you get die off symptoms, where the probiotics in the above products cause a bit of bloating as they kill off ‘bad’ bacteria.

In my experience, no, they are not worth it. Budget Shimano brakes perform very well and are very powerful – they just come with less features than the more expensive versions.

When porting a mortgage you only port the rate, not the debt. So you sell your house, clear the mortgage, and then apply for the new mortgage at the ported rate. The LTV should be kept within the threshold. Your financial circumstances may have changed, and thus your affordability is taken into consideration. From recollection, there are no ERCs when porting.

The level of stupidity and ineptitude for such alleged high calibre candidates makes me think the programme is all but faked for the name of entertainment. I can not believe such experts can come up with such dog***t marketing campaigns.

£650 energy bill this month, plus our first month of twins at nursery, that’s another £750, plus the fixed rate mortgage at 1.79% ends in a few months, that’ll be at least another £600 a month I think.

I’ll be bankrupt this year, and I earn a very respectable wage.

You should take k2 with vit d. Pushes the calcium to where it belongs and not in the arteries

From my experience of episodes of CFS, a sugar called ATP helps recovery along with an expensive magnesium supplement (not the mg you get off the shelf in boots for example). I can’t remember the science behind this but Google is your friend here and there may be some relevance to the OP

    Section 75 claim?

Personally, neither. You can’t out train a bad diet in my opinion so clean eating is the way forward and I don’t think we need as much protein as we think. Diet for weight loss, exercise for fitness.

The tank is pre insulated, but I do believe it would benefit from some further insulation as the insulation feels warm to touch.

What’s the best additional insulation to add to the hot water tank? I see there are loads of covers available which wrap around the tank, but they can’t all be the same?

‘’So many people buggering about with boilers and CH but none claim to be heating engineers.
Call me old-fashioned but I would stick with people who do this stuff for a living – aka ‘experts’.’’

With all due respect I really don’t like attitudes like this. And it’s common in many formats. People are just trying to help themselves a bit and share new found knowledge. You don’t have to be a mechanic to diagnose a flat tyre.

Me too. I’ve not felt 100% for about 8 weeks now. Currently I have a cough which reminds me of when I had pneumonia, a horrible sore throat and fatigue. Anything remotely resembling fitness has long gone, which is utterly depressing because exercise and mental health go hand in hand.

Re our £800 bill, we’re in a 1930s 4 bed detached with poor insulation, 1 year olds twins and obviously it was pretty cold recently. I WFH but I’m happy to wear extra layers. She won’t let the thermostat go below 16.5 overnight because of the children. She also sees the heating as a first resort, whereas I’d only put it on if I were desperate. I stil can’t believe she thinks it’s a reasonable figure, but I won’t raise it with her, it’s not worth the argument.

Just received Decembers bill, £800 for the month. Wife thinks that’s not too bad. What planet is she on? That’s more than my annual bill used to be.

Taking it all in one go will cost you more in unnecessary interest, better to take for example £50k every year for 4 years.

I don’t see why it wouldn’t be possible. Somebody will want your custom. I’d speak to a broker first.

Are all running leggings the same? If not what’s a good brand? What should I be looking for in leggings? Do some restrict more than others? I’ve literally no clue about running leggings, but I want to keep my legs warm in my ripe old age of 38

    A potassium supplement.

RDA for potassium is 4700mg. A banana contains about 350mg, an avocado about 1000mg.

As mentioned above the void would be there to serve two purposes. Firstly to allow ventilation for ground gases, CO2, methane, radon etc. 2nd is to provide a void for expansive soils to expand into, called ground heave. Is it possible to insulate from above? Appreciate this will probably raise finished floor levels. Load bearing insulation is a thing and it’s something I used to help architects specify.

I have all my rads turned on to max (there is method in the madness). I have reduced my flow temp down to about 55c. Takes maybe 5 more minutes to get to target temperature. I have tried to set up my heating so the return into the boiler is as low as possible, to make sure the boiler is condensing, utilising as much latent heat as possible.

Stop Turning Off Radiators! (In unused rooms) It costs MORE!

Claiming money in these circumstances is relatively straighforward.

Ive used this before to claim unpaid expensed from a company I used to work with. They promptly made the payment once they received a letter from the courts.

Spookys reply is most aligned with my thoughts/opinion in this. Hypothetically speaking she may be suffering a personality disorder, (eg psychopathy, narcissist personality disorder). It may be wise to educate one’s self on these areas as it may give you a model to understand and explain her behaviour. In my experience this is/was key to understating, coping and eventually recovering from one bat shit crazy woman I dated years ago. Knowledge is power.

The solution, is to completely remove yourself from the situation. Find alternative work (appreciate it may not be easy) and whatever you do, do not confront her about it, as she will deny, blame shift, and not take any responsibility at all. Confronting her will add fuel to the fire and make you feel even worse than you already do.

I wish you all the best.
