Crashtestmonkey, so they are discriminating against cyclists? Not sure if they are allowed to do that?

It’s quite a stark contrast; a juxtaposition to the Cedric Gracia video

Thanks all. I’m aware there aren’t many jobs at the moment but it might change in the next year or two. I imagine I would think its a very rewarding job; helping people in need would be, I imagine, more rewarding than selling commodities which is what I do at the moment. I’m also attracted to it as I like physical work and I think staring in front of a screen or sitting behind a steering wheel all day is a waste of flesh and bones. I think I could climatise to the more gruesome side of the work.

How irresponsible and hypocritical of the Royal Mail to sell items which they believe are dangerous.

The Bank of England will only begin to consider to put up interest rates when unemployment drops to a certain level.

So I was eating this chess board but it was disgusting. I took it back to the shop and said to the bloke, ‘this is stale mate.’

He said ‘are you sure?’ I said ‘check mate’

Is the Royal Mail guilty of Embezzlement? They took advantage of your situation for their own financial benefit. I do not believe for 1 second they have the right to sell something which does not belong to them.

Royal Mail accepted the item when you went to the post office, so does this not suggest that they agreed your item was in accordance with theit T’s and C’s? If the item wasnt in accordance with their terms then surely they should not have accepted it?

Uness they can prove exactly what they have done with it then, as others have said I believe this may amount to theft. I think gettng the Police involved might be a good idea if you can not reach an amicable agreement first.

Actually the problem here can partly be blamed on the state of your washing machine. Check inside the rubber seal behind the door, it’s probably full of black gunk, bacteria. The solution is simple. Clean the gunk out and Do an empty boil wash with a cup of vinegar to clean the machine.

I found that my towels used to smell once I had used the a few times, not any more! And no, your clothes won’t smell of vinegar.

Thats disgraseful. If i was in any mountain bike group no matter what the situation, I would never leave anyone behind for the sake of their safety.

May I ask how you actually manage to swim 60 lengths without losing the will to live? I like swimming, but I find it gets very, very boring.

I find if you hang off the back too much you don’t have total control of the bike as it’s more difficult to balance. Try doing a track stand, it’s more difficult if your weight is not over the centre of the bike. I think the same applies to when the wheels are in motion. It’s easier to lean the bike too when your weight is centred. This is important because you want to keep your front wheel as straight as possible and ideally get as much turn from leaning the bike, not turning the bars. Am I making any sense?

I don’t believe this apology. I believe in a hidden agenda. The only reason for the apology was the negative impact Specialized were causing themselves via social media became greater than the benefits which they would have achieved in suing said bike shop. Had social media not had such an impact, I firmly believe Spesh would still have pursued legal action. Call me cynical but that’s what I believe is the motivation behind the apology.

The chartered institute of insurers (CII) might be a good start. Definately for finance, maybe not so much for accounting – but someone else can confirm this. I know the CII offer industry approved training.

And if you refuse to pay, they will have to call the police, in between which one can cycle off into the sunset. I always thought it was illegal to impersonate a police officer.

The ends.co.uk directory might be useful to short list companies who have offices in the NW. But companies which come to mind are the likes of Atkins, Mott macdonald, Jacobs etc. I’m in the NW working in the environmental engineering industry if I can be any more help. These engineering firms do employ project managers.

Lean too far back…front wheel washes out…too far forward OTB

It sounds like you need to relax a bit more, let the bike move underneath you and just as importantly, keep your balance to prevent the front wheel from washing out.

Ive no idea if this is any help, but I see an osteopath now and again. I once told him my lower back was very tight and he said it was due to my hip flexors being tight. I incorporated the exercises in the link below into my stretching routine and it definately reduced the pain in my back. Might not be anything to do with your problem though but it might be worth a try.

Be aware with insurance policies. To quote Ned Flanders, he doesn’t have house insurance as he ‘sees insurance as a form of gambling’

Funny but a small element of truth, ie there is no guarantee policies will pay out.
