    Thank you for the suggestions.
Vandal owner here so… I’ll be trying my son’s 27.5 back wheel asap! and getting a bashguard/shorter cranks too 😉
Hopefully the answer was sitting in my shed all along.
    Thanks

I’m very late to the game but those adjustable drop outs are proper tempting.
Any other hardtails with such feature? And where can I find one? Frame only option preferred.

Thanks. Any other day long routes that you’d recommend instead of ‘The Gap’? Similar location (Central /East).
    Cheers

Both of my old wired and the new Ti ones are useless if running/riding into headwind…but otherwise ok.

If you agree with “The rockshox 35 gold is nearly half a kilo over an equivalent pike.”
    They’re currently 700£ from 920£ minus an extra 15% until 24:00 (PXBANK15).

    I would but…out of budget already 😉

Hi. Can you please share the link for the frames?
All I can find are Airwolf components…

As mentioned by Jonba, Fireline has a ‘special’ seatstay bridge but in my opinion it only makes it look ‘dated’. The internal cabling (Titus) for both dropper and gears/rear brake, offsets that vs the exposed cables of Vandal…specially the ones under BB!
In comparison to Scandal, I guess it’s a material Ti vs alloy preference and the same applies to colour scheme (raw Ti – amazing vs paint…) but the new colours scorched hearth, neon whatnot and other, do look great 😉

Still prefer my Vandal, a proper long day work horse with chunky tires/wheels and a pure bred on some syncros/rocket Rons combo for local xc series

I’ll give this a try on the free day 😉

    Any other options?

    Thanks

I’m new to this digital navigation business but creating the GPX on Komoot and using a igs620 or Garmin 520 (both with buttons) is keeping me on the right way and in budget

On One Vandal. Ti gnarly hardtail for just over 1000£ at the time. Added a dropper and xc wheelset for 200£ and I’m living the trail/xc bike dream 😉

    Many thanks All.
    Great options and suggestions.
I’ll get familiar with the different software options and start looking for some hardware.
    Many thanks

Again, great software and website too.
Stupid question but…Once you plot a route and create the GPX does anybody bother getting an old school print out (A4/A5) and laminate (ala trail card 😉
    Many thanks

Great software tool (which I completely didn’t know 😉 about. Loving the free ‘region’ as it covers Dartmoor and way beyond 🙂
Which model of the eTrex? and what mount?
    Many thanks

‘Hello Dave’ because of forks, kit or geo?
Do you recon a Ti version would be cheaper than the steel version?

Totally subscribe the Crank Brothers Mallets
Easy clip off (no silly tensioning bolts) just an amazing and functional spring and a large enough platform for techy ‘foot out’ sections.

    Thank you for the suggestions.
Forgot to mention that we’ll be on a campervan and everyone is riding… so loops or ‘out and back’ is essential, rather than point to point.
    Thank you once again

We’re all timy…so looking at geometry charts, I’m considering the XCs sizes (I.e.) with a seat tube of 12″ . Can’t find that on Marin or Scott on nicer builds…

    Thank you Guys.
We’re based in Guernsey, so I’m hoping they still ship it here…
Given our like for trail centres and the local DH (ish) scene, we’ll go for the Stoic. Hoping it still climbs and XCs OK.
What do you mean by better bottom bracket? Thought a threaded BB is better than press fit.
Also. Shame that the manufacturers available at our LBS don’t replicate Canyons sizing.

    Hi.
Any FofD “locals” around on Friday (11/10) and/or Sunday (13/10) to ride along, as we’ve blown our budget on WYE coaching, BPW and the Mojo series event.

PS- beer/pie and coffee/cake money still available 😉
