There are no good xmas films .It`s the dullest day of the year ,I shall walk up a mountain then eat curry and try and avoid all the greed ,cheer and godly dross
Why do you need to ask about riding at night ?Just do it .All the winter Audax I do have several hours of darkness on roads I dont know to contend with .They are all fine with 300 lumens or so
Downhill is a bit like that tea tray racing on ice .There are a few who do it and a couple are very good at it .A very niche sport unlike say 5km road running which millions do and which requires very little niche expensive kit and therefore is a bloody sight harder to be a world champion at.
I have ridden on the road in RAF Goretex trousrs whilst they are great trousers for walking in they are terrible for cycling ,heavy ,baggy and they wont stay up without braces
I run often but about 10k at most .The thought of training properly for a marathon would bore be senseless .I would just do lots of walking as thats about all the 5 hr plus runners are doing come the end anyway

My lovely cattle dog was 11 when he started to lose weight and poo soup .He was put under to investigate and a massive tumour was found on his spleen that nothing could be done with .I had him put to sleep whilst he was still under .Then I cried a lot .He had been off his food and lethargic for only a few days but the thing had been growing for ages .
