Water authorities get well pissed off at anything other than fishing and those silly little sail boats on their reservoirs. We asked about kayaking and were met with a no

500 quid won't get you a good geared road bike these days unless the likes of Pauls Cycles or Whinstanleys has one and that probably won't be on C2W

2cvs are actually pretty cool as first cars.

They cost loads now!I was looking for one as a fun summer car but gave up because of the prices when I managed to find one

I just wish we could get our Sustrans link between Wells and Cheddar. It would take a horrible bit of road out of the ride but things seem to have stalled on this again.Maybe our new MP will be of more help than the Tory ****t who sat on the fence when asked to support it.

I did the Ridgeway from Ivinghoe heading West in 1990 it was great as there were few mountain bikers then and the trails were very quiet .It's lacking in Bridleway until you get nearer Streatley though

n return for those "snobs" (i.e mostly genuine country folk, and a few rich gentry types) looking after the countryside and bridleways etc for you.

Do they bollocks look after the countryside most farmyards are full of rotting machinery and half the rights of way are overgrown or blocked

If you are really into camping then a few hundred quid will buy you a really high quality tent that will stand up to anything .Many of the cheaper family ones are aimed at summer low altitude camping

    http://www.thetentteam.co.uk/product/29439/force-ten-sentinel-500.html

This would be the extreme opposite in terms of cost and performance to your summer holiday tent

A decent hydrostatic head which tells you how waterproof the tent is minimum really would be 3000mm many cheap family ones are only 1500 to 2000mm .Really good ones are 5000mm but these cost a lot more

These are 60 quid tomorrow looks good for the money .I hope it is as we are getting one!!
