No your knees should not hurt you need to play around with the cleat position until you find the natural position your foot sits at .The float that the cleat has should allow the sideways movement you need so your knees are not knackered by being forced into an unnatural position
My lads school let the kids out at 2pm for the football. As we like cycling as well do you think the head would let him have most of July off to watch the Tour De France?
That's the classification for a Munro and a Corbett is 2500 I think. If it's 3thou All the mountains on the 3 peaks cx would be hills.I'm pretty sure it's 2 thou.
Yes the peaks is cx bike only .35mm max tyre width, flat bars or drops 500mm max (those on ones are to wide by the way !!)no 29ers no 700c wheels rammed into an mtb frame either.
The peaks filled up on the day last year .Which is July 1st.It's kinard and cramp is a problem if you can run or even hillwalk well you may be ok.The cramp is horrible when you swop from riding to the run ,walk, crawl bits!!.Ther are 2 time cut off points and the climb of Ingleborough goes on forever.
Dual carriageways are still used a lot for timetrials because they give fast times.Another chap was killed a couple of Saturdays ago during a tt on the A417 near Cirencester
The trouble is bridleways are supposed to be big enough for a horse .Thats why a council will clear it to a couple of metres not leave it as narrow single track
Losts of events cost £30+ that buys a lot of diesel if you fancy a weekend in the hills with some mates. Split four ways you could ride Saturday and Sunday with an overnight in a yha place for the cost of an event.
