Would n't 5m be better spent on the bridleway network.Trying to link good bits together with permissive paths ,better signing etc?

No your knees should not hurt you need to play around with the cleat position until you find the natural position your foot sits at .The float that the cleat has should allow the sideways movement you need so your knees are not knackered by being forced into an unnatural position

Under inflation quite possibly. I know many mtbers who dont realise than skinny road tyres really need 110psi or more to avoid pinch punctures

That's the classification for a Munro and a Corbett is 2500 I think. If it's 3thou All the mountains on the 3 peaks cx would be hills.I'm pretty sure it's 2 thou.

To be fair, for a mountain biking site, I have to admit there are no mountains in southern england.

Wrong! 2000 feet is the height in this country to be classed as a mountain .Dartmoor just gets there with Yes Tor at 2031 and High Willhays at 2037

They are bloody stiff and great for geting the power down in TTs. I paid 140 quid for my Carnacs in 1994 and being tight still wear them to race

Buy a b17 and get the sides cut down to that shape .There is a guy on the LFGSS site who does it .You can also google the technique http://www.wallbike.com/content/butchering.html

you dont need to run walking without cramping is the key the mountains are really steep in places and only the top guys actually run

The peaks filled up on the day last year .Which is July 1st.It's kinard and cramp is a problem if you can run or even hillwalk well you may be ok.The cramp is horrible when you swop from riding to the run ,walk, crawl bits!!.Ther are 2 time cut off points and the climb of Ingleborough goes on forever.

Dual carriageways are still used a lot for timetrials because they give fast times.Another chap was killed a couple of Saturdays ago during a tt on the A417 near Cirencester

All i want is a shop that, within reason, lets you take actual bikes inside.

    Why ?buy a lock.

The trouble is bridleways are supposed to be big enough for a horse .Thats why a council will clear it to a couple of metres not leave it as narrow single track

Losts of events cost £30+ that buys a lot of diesel if you fancy a weekend in the hills with some mates. Split four ways you could ride Saturday and Sunday with an overnight in a yha place for the cost of an event.
