OP – in this context what’s your definition of ‘control’ and ‘better’?

Oh my god – professionally he should not be responsible for staff with a work ethic like that…and as a person he sounds like he’s either an arsehole or lacking self confidence big time….

We’ve Orca wetsuits – bought a few years ago on Wiggle. Good price and good suit.

I have the XR3 2.2 (tubeless) on the rear of my Soul too. Works great for me…(with the XR4 2.3 up front)…

And a big issue is the UK started this (with America)…after the war we promised Jewish people a haven and as a result displaced the Palestinians after they’d been there centuries…(I know I cannot sum up sixty years of conflict in a paragraph but hopefully you get my point)…

The second hand bookshop in Alnwick (cannot remember its name) is well worth a visit. Cool building and nice atmosphere. They claim it’s the biggest in UK.. has kids books area and cafe too…

The ‘thinking about it’ is good.

When I was 18 I went to tattoo parlour. Guy said he was fully busy for two weeks and to come back then. I never did. In hindsight I really admire his work ethic for doing that. He knew I wouldn’t come back…

Jambalaya, good point on my choice of words. Yes, equal is easy because my bars have marks in the middle. I mean the straightness of left hand and right hand when sitting on bike, after tightening back up the headset.

Good post dirtyride – if at least for all the comments made in response to the laser tool..seems I’m not alone in my thoughts….got to be an innuendo there somewhere…

Be interesting to see if anyone posts any ‘tricks’…

I would say majority of theft is opportunist. So, leave your bikes unattended and the longer they’re left the chance increases that a thief will come by and take the opportunity to have them…

Reads like a few similar set-ups. I have an XR3 2.2 on rear too. I must admit riding wise i’m happy with the set up. Interesting points been made – so don’t think I’ll spend the £40 on a new 2.2 for something that will probably make a negligible difference..cheers all….

Hi, don’t think I could say whether I feel it – I just hear the extra noise when I’m on the odd road section so guess its in my head about the drag…currently run about 25psi front and back (weigh about 12st in full riding gear)..

Reads to me like you probably have one extremely over sized testicle which is causing one side of your body to overcompensate….not sure how to reduce this inflammation…

    Good joke bearnec….

But on original point of OP…gotta say i have never quite understood the logic of punishing a violent act with another act of violence… Seems a bit contradictory to me….

Insomnia is a symptom, not a specific issue in itself. In other words, you need to find out what is going on in your life to cause the symptom of insomnia – and deal with that problem/issue. That’s the only way to get rid of insomnia for good….

I’m sure a handle bar lever is better.. but I went cheap a couple of years ago and bought x-fusion with crotch grab lever. Sure have to pick my moment to use it, but its perfectly fine. If money/less hassle is what you’re after then don’t discount the idea. Only time i’d say it was actually dangerous is if you’re racing…

WTF…the organisation that is forcing austerity onto sections of society that did nothing in the first place to bring about the need for austerity..then give themselves a decent pay rise…

How on earth can one think that is acceptable?

Isn’t it great – all the positive replies. I’m a firm believer that on the whole we live in a great land of friendly people. It’s the stirring by the media of writing negative news that makes people think there are heaps of ‘bad’ people out there…

+1 for Donk – not many people go back.

I think droppers allow the rider to find the flow in their ride. Stopping to drop saddle breaks rhythm and flow. IMHO my riding has got more enjoyable and better because I’ve not interrupted my ride to lower the seat – and have subsequently found said flow more often.

However, if you don’t drop your post now then its probably not worth it – but if you do get off and drop your saddle then id be surprised if you regretted buying one…

Ton- if you ride so often, how come just one bike then?

My survey of correlation between volumes of bikes vs days riding is probably pointless – too many variables. You could do the same survey for how many children one has versus how many days riding etc etc…

I want to put a smiley in here…

Not annoyed – genuine curiosity on number of bikes etc vs riding. I have more than one if you think I’m in the one bike camp…

More bikes means having to earn more money to buy them. Being at work more probably means less riding….

We should.do a poll – how many bikes you own versus how many days a week riding you get in….

Hey dirtyrider, probably misinterpreting your post – but it seems very derogatory to working class what your suggesting. You saying its a middle class thing to be interested in feeding you child healthily?

    Howsyourdad +1 .

Never puréed anything and never bought baby food. Have to use a bit of common sense re spices and size of food (choking) etc. Never understood why one would pay for baby food jars when you have a kitchen full of suitable food already..

Probably not specific enough for yoy but I hired big wagon in San Francisco and did big loop around mountains (to go skiing at Mamouth Mountain and climbing in Yosemite).

Details wise – dirt cheap to hire the vehicle (hired from airport at last minute), gas cheap, easy to navigate roads and I slept in wagon and booked into motels on a day by day basis. Was very easy to make the road trip.

So getting my info from myfitnesspal. Been a bit geeky and calculated how much I should each for my body weight and amount of exercise and I appear to be eating about 2/3 of what is ideal for my situation.

Whey powder (totally unscientifically in my head) I see as proceessd and potentially full of chemicals. Am I wrong on this thought?

I haven’t found a bike mechanic yet that hasn’t said that regular use of a pressure washer will shorten the life of bearings. No matter how careful you are the water gets in quicker, compared to using bucket and brush. I dont think its a coincidence your bearings have needed replacing so soon and your using a pressure washer…

Molgrips – the reason citizens are not asked what they want is because we are not a homogenous group. Look at the journey this thread has gone on and the difference of opinion…I’m not saying it’s right – I think that’s just one answer to your question
