Oh..I thought this was about IKEA furniture…

..I would like to think I can manual small dips, bumps and puddles etc but I know an expert would say..”sure you’re going though that on one wheel but it’s not technically a manual….more a lift and hope”…

I’ve noticed that when I’m doing big gap jumps the bigger wheels get picked up by the wind more and actually slow me down…and since i spend so much time in the air compared to on the ground I have to ride 26″…but you know, that’s just me…rad as can be…

    Edit…all tosh..well, escept the part about riding 26″..that bit’s true…

@5thElephant…you may have nicked cars as a young person but I certainly didn’t..and the vast majority of young people I work with wouldn’t either…don’t judge people by your own standards….

@Drac…youth clubs, skate parks, green spaces turned into housing development…there are many places young people used to be able to go to..Im not saying they have never hung out on streets but young people used to have more spaces to go to…

Why do you think the politicians are evil? That’s a bit harsh…

Blame the adults – they’re the ones that have voted in governements that have systematically closed down spaces for young people to go to.

Young people need infomal spaces to hang out, chat, discover, make friends and break friends etc…except they have very little of that now and have to hang out on the streets…and then get blamed for being a nuisance.

Clubs like football only work for so long because they’re still structured spaces that are ‘owned’ by adults…

Adults have spaces like pubs to do this…imagine if the governemnt closed down pubs…be an uproar…

@thebees…whilst you thought you were superman in a bike race…everyone else was wondering who the guy circling around the pub carpark on a kids trike was… :D

Am I right £495 to ride essentially trail centres for 5 days?

I think that’s a weird mix…5 day race but in a lot of trail centres you can visit on your own…if it was riding wilder terrain there may be more incentive (for that kind of money and time commitment)..

Toppeak Hexus 2 – not the lightest but the tools work including the chain tool (I’ve had to use it to fix a broken chain on a ride)…light does not necessrily mean fit for purpose…

I’ll try a few different things….since I know I can get it via an email I’ll just do that each time (if I can’t solve it)…considering the worlds problems I’ll not moan too much about it… :D

Cheers for trying to solve it…..

After pressing PDF High button …tablet changes screen …then pops up with writing …”Cannot Display PDF (Issue 103_h.pdf cannot be opened)”.

Happens in both Firefox and Google Chrome.

If you’re not aware of the issue must be a setting on my tablet. Not sure how though because downlaoded many pdf’s before.

@Cougar – I thought you guys were all seeing, all knowing gods? :D Cheers for responsing tho…

…basically the high resolution pdf magaizine will not download to my Nexus 7..(never tried it before)…I can however download it on my laptop and then email it to myself and open it on the Nexus 7 from the email (and save it etc)…so I can safely assume my tablet can deal with the pdf …just for some reason it is unable to download directly from the website?

Have you heard of this issue before?

Surprised they’re not in the newspaper for the most hated/dumbest council idea of a ‘shared space’ roundabout…..it’s bonkers how they thought it was a good idea…

OP – how does your family perceive it? Lots of training takes time from elsewhere….when you way everything up (enjoyment espect, health, family, your emotional state from the training etc) it must end up in a positive..otherwise it’s not worth it…life should be fun!!

Law of unintended consequences….less walking (from standing on escalator) may result in less exercise…results in further obesity…people get so large then only one person step anyway… :D

Somebody call the vet , maybe even the RSPCA…there’s some ponies around here that have been abused so much they’re nearly dead…. circuses really should be banned….

I’ve not heard a lot about it but I picked up that the lad murdered was definitely starting the fight by being abusive and the defendant had been carrying weapons because of lack of self esteem and trying to feel ‘big’ (not because he was simply a brute)..tragic end result..

I’m not getting the idea that you’re more precious if you’ve a nice car….I’ve an old car but I’d still be annoyed if someone banged into it…but yes I’d keep my annoyance in check..shit happens and a smashed car is no where near as bad as if you lived in say Syria…perspective and all that….

How does science explain scientists believing in god?

As Neil Degrasse Tyson points out elsewhere, there is no contradiction because the knowledge that science pursues, and the faith that pursues God, constitute completely different epistemic categories.

    That is a philisophical answer…..

Non-fiction is potentially perceived as fiction to some….if you have an interpretive perspective you might challenge there is no one single reality, only various perspectives depending on who’s telling it…therefore OP, your war history is one persons perspective/story/account and is probably debatable/incorrect to someone else..therefore what’s the difference of that to fiction since its not ‘true’ to all?

    I’ll get my coat….

Not really related – but I’ll never forget driving down an empty dual carriageway at night at 60ish mph…then I hear a motorbike …who comes alongside me and then pops up the front wheel and proceeds to burns off at about 80mph doing a wheelie for about 200m….I was both impreassed and scared for him/her….

I’d ask one of her friends for suggestions rather than a bunch of people you dont know on the internet…looks a lot more thoughtful, if you’re genuinely trying to show her you care about her…..(could even save you some cash for a new bike if you find out she wants to go to Skegness cos her dog was buried there)

Got given one….when first used it got all ‘excited’ at things you can clean with (its surprisingly versatile)…but often don’t get it out because its in a box in cupboard…so yes it works well but I bet many get forgotten about in the back of the cupboard….although may have something to do with us having young children and they’re likely to steam their face if I use it when their around!!

@makecoldplayhistory – I’m glad you posted that. I was really disappointed in all the posts about how bad it was….. due (probably) to tourists staying in hotels and being told not to venture out…if they had ventured out maybe they’d have had a different view of the place….we only had four five days there but really enjoyed it and explored lots if what it had to offer…lovely people…

Interesting some of the replies here..I spent a bit of time in Manila a few years ago..sure, it’s a very sad mix of extreme poverty and high rise shoppng malls (a result of being demolished at the end of the war and being built back up)…BUT it’s not the most dangerous place if you are sensible…in fact we found it really friendly…(and we weren’t staying in secure hotels either but hostels for travellers)..probably spent four or five days there before we went travelling around the rest of the country..

However, 9 hours available and with the city traffic the way it is I wouldn’t stray too far fron the airport..can’t recomend anything BUT dont think its a scary, dangerous place..it’s not if you’re sensible…although sensible does mean not walking around at 3am..!

Interesting (re above post)…I’m the opposite viewpoint… I believe (and I have some experience working with individual with negative mental health)..that the majority of instances are a result of external influences… coping mechanisms/resilience does vary between individuals and appears internal , however, these resilience factors are often also linked to life experiences…

However, I don’t want to say (previous poster) that it didn’t work for you ..the gut scenario…just that its not a common situation..

Whilst walking is good for you… walking next to car fumes had now been proven to increase your chances of cancer etc..sadly its now catch22…unless the powers that be can reduce cars in urban areas I’m not sure walking will be on the increase any time soon…

Instead of brands ask, yourself how will it be used? City folk (who may use public transport) have very different demands than rural folk etc using a pram that converts to a car seat…also size of car is major factor (will it collapse in boot?)..

Personally, I think you need to accept that you’ll just have to take a guess and either you’ll work around its plus and minuses regardless or, you’ll sell it and get one that’s more suitable when your buying one bases on empirical evidence…

This is why second hand is perfect…if it’s not right you wont be annoyed you’ve shelled out a lot of money of something you end up disliking….second hand all the way for babies IMO…

I was living in the Eden valley (Cumbria) when I set the account up. Not there now and I wasn’t a boy when I set it up…always wonder if that makes me a bit like those dubious chat room stalkers faking their age…. :D

I had this once with a bike shop – excellent mechanics but the shop had no organisational skills.

My bike threw up a problem of difficult to get frame bearings..from what I could gather they then put it in the back whilst trying to source them…but…the mechanic then had constant new jobs booked in and kept forgetting to try to find the brearings I needed…went on for nearly a month.

I never went back and would never recommend them. Shame because the mechanics skills were really good…bike shop owners fault IMO..
