You will need to alternate hoods drops tops IME to give your hands a rest. If I were to do it again I’d stay somewhere nice in Belgium and drive over for the day. That part of France really is shit. You can get in the velodrome for free at the race and there’s a big tv to watch.
windermere brideleway from the ferry to low wray is great. Nice ride along the lake, flat, you can combine it with a ferry ride too for more fun points and theres a café.

No quali is a day of mass start heats based on when you bought your entry off the Internet. So it’s completely random And good riders can be right at the back
It’s only the mega avalanche. It’s a fun race and this year the Sunday races were run on a hastily arranged short course because of weather and no one knew what they heck was going on. I think everyone wants to move on from this years final.
I like Eurosport. Belgium do good coverage even if you can’t understand a word ayayayayah. I was surprised by French coverage, they seem to spend most of the race chatting to guests in a studio with the actual race in a small box out in the corner. I think Phil and paul are still on NBC if you’re felling nostalgic.

Agree. A little bit of contesting wouldn’t go amiss. Glad they seem to have sorted the count after the tackle now and we don’t have to watch every tackled player flop around like a dying fish trying to buy a penalty.
Decentralised solar on roofs and storage batteries looks to be the future. There are hundreds of electric cars now and more in future. They can all be used as a storage for the grid when parked up. How the big energy companies fair in that world and what they do to stop it will be interesting

The ‘human rights’ act doesn’t register with a lot of people as actually their human rights. Its lost its meaning. Its been successfully misrepresented as a burden around the average joes neck imposed by the metropolitan elite that gives apocryphal special rules for ne’er do wells, scroungers, criminals and the like.
