Call me Dave is way too shrewd a politician to get rid of Vince.

The tories are laughing the socks off at the moment. They’ve implimented some horrendous policies, yet are walking away scot free as all the blame is being heaped at the door of the lib dems. They need Vince and Clegg as fig-leaves. And now Cables stature is massively diminished, Dave can keep him on a much tighter leash.

And George Osborne must be utterly disbelieving of the easy ride he’s getting from both the press and the Labour party at the moment. He’s the architect of the cuts, yet he’s virtually invisible.

+1 Vince has been neutered and the last thing they want is him free to express more of his opinions on the backbenches. Apparently George described Clegg and Co as being “very brave” over their tuition fee vote. Brave 😀 yes thats one word for it George.

Turkeys don’t vote for Christmas. This coalition will limp on manfully with each side secretly( or not so) loathing each other.

Rant after not paying in 48 hours 😯 Your emigrating in 2 weeks 😯 😯 So what happens to a buyer if your item is lost in the post or there is a problem. Where is their comeback? How are you going to sort it out?
I think I feel more sorry for the buyer

As a non tea drinker, I never seem to be able to make a cup of tea that appeases a tea drinker. What’s the verdict?

The answer is you use a tea pot to make a proper cup of tea.

My advice with volvo ( I’ve had a few over the years and really rate them) is to avoid the main dealers when it comes to servicing ( they are bandits) and find yourself an independent garage that specialises in volvos. In my experience you will get a far better service at a fraction of the cost.

Lots of good books recommended but imo the best cycling book I have ever read is In Pusuit of Stardom – Les Nomades du Velo Anglais by Tony Hewson

A Piepers Tale is also good along with Sean Kelly’s biography

certainly notice it on the roadie, less so on the mtb

As said, less gives better ground clearance.
In what way do you notice the difference on your road bike

It’s not Roys fault the club is in melt down
and has been for months it has too many at best ordinary players and no money.

Is that an example of your famous scouse wit? 🙂

I hate several other clubs too. No way would I want to see any of them fail due to financial reasons though.

I agree but I am prepared to make an exception for Liverpool

Sack him 😆 Who in their right mind would go and manage Liverpool with that crap squad,no money and a club in meltdown. But if it helps elfin yeah you blame Roy.
BTW I absolutely hate liverpool( with a passion) 🙂

From what you have said you want the bike for( weekend leisure riding) I wouldn’t think you need to spend anywhere near £1200 on a frame. I would look at something like a planet x ti sportive frame and that would be the very top end I would spend on a bike frame just for weekend rides.Save your money.

I've got a volvo v70 I've had it for 4 years virtually from new and spent nothing on it apart from servicing, front pads and tyres. Everything still works ,feels and looks ( when I remember to clean it)just as it did when I first got it.
My only grumble would be main dealer service costs ( BEWARE they are bandits!) I have now found a local independent volvo garage which is far far cheaper and gives a much better service.
I should add I have very little interest in cars (performance, bhp, high speed handling etc) I am more intersted in comfort safety and reliability.

@Ed – So when is the right time to sell a road bike – got a winter bike to unload and I was hoping now would be good!

A winter trainer would be Autumn/Winter all other road bikes Spring/Summer.
Anything else you need help with 🙂

Yes viner are Italian with a great pedigree. The EM2 relates to the tubing used which is deda scandium. If the bike is in good condition no dents etc and everything runs well then £500 isn't a bad price. However be aware this is a very very light alu frame so longevity and flex can be issues.

The ambrosio nemesis are a tubular rim rather than clincher ( aP seems obssessed with this rim and seems to recommend them for everything from a climbing wheel to cx) which I suspect if you are not used tubs may not be the way to go. The simplest solution is to buy some nice new wheels for your road bike and sling your old ones on your cx bike. You do not need specific cx wheels and if you race you will see all sorts of wheels being used.BTW your wheelbuilder is talking shit imo nothing wrong with mavic no better or worse than dt swiss, ambrosio etc

Ambrosio Nemesis 😯 why a tubular rim more at home on the roads of flanders?

On a trainer I would suggest you want to look at VO2 max sessions.
