I have the one mini 2, small hands so smaller size won over performance. No issues with it at all and it’s now coming up for a year old. Has passed quite a few drop tests :-)

I currently work 4 days a week, 7.5 hr days but I’d actually prefer to do compressed hours. Was doing 35 hours over 4 days previously which was perfect.

I’m working as a contractor though so it’s not a permanent thing, it depends entirely on what i can negotiate.

National Speed Limit signs from the adjoining 30/40mph roads, dual carriageway + central reservation = 70mph

One way signs on the bit north of the traffic lights indicating not a dual carriageway but one way street = 60mph

In the absence of any visible repeaters I’d say 30mph down to the roundabout, then 70 through the leafy bit (see one way signs)

Roundabout to traffic lights is NSL – 70 mph
One way section through leafy bit – 60 mph

Edit: Tell a lie actually, they’ve recently put 50mph signs up through the leafy bit going north, 60mph going south

This is also not a dual carriageway, 60 limit but I’m not sure how many people know this.

Pet hate at the moment is same width handlebars whatever the size of the frame. Can anyone really think that someone riding an XS frame is going to need the same size handlebars as someone riding an XL?

Twenty minutes drive from the good stuff then you’re almost certain to have rides from the front door as well.

Having seen the recorded results for EPCs acros a district a huge number are just plain wrong. Recorded as having no loft insulation/cavity wall insulation despite building control records to the contrary and my favourite, a new build ground floor flat recorded as having cob walls with the first floor flat above having brick :-)

2 hours 40 Monday and Thursday
10 minutes on the bike each way Tuesday and Wednesday

So 6 hours total travel a week plus 30 hours work.

But the idea that council’s are being paid twice i.e. being funded to meet legislation centrally/via council tax and charging in addition would only be true if they were allocated specific pots of money to meet specific bits of legislation.

As it is, new legislation is introduced and the pot of money gets ever smaller…

What they do is driven by legislation, and they are funded by the government and rates/council tax etc to do these things.

This is incorrect, much of which is driven by legislation is not actually funded. Do you really think that when, for example, FOI legislation was introduced council’s were given any more money to deal with it?

Personal search companies access council records free of charge and then charge people for the information!

The Fledborough viaduct was reopened recently for bikes.

There’s another section nearby in Hucknall that has also been completed in the past couple of years, I’m hoping they’ll extend it as far as Calverton eventually and that’ll make for a nice little link up for some of our other local routes.

so my 50 p is no wallhung cupboards if you have the space and a tall one or two if you really need the storage space

Yes, this. A lot of the ‘kitchen advice’ we read was you can never have enough cupboards/storage but really glad we stuck with just the one wall hung unit and a floor to ceiling cupboard.

Same with the sockets in, i.e. think how many you need and double it, actually 4 double sockets is more than enough, 8 would just be silly.

It’s for all the work including taking out a load-bearing wall, replastering, re-routing lighting, re-routing heating etc.

How much of the budget is left for the kitchen after that then?

I go into Caversham, so come off at J6 of the M40 and avoid the majority of the Reading traffic, so I would expect a bit longer if you’re round the M4 corridor

I drive from Hucknall to Reading every Monday morning. This morning I left at 5:45 and arrived at 8:45 and that’s a good run. 15 mins later and you start to hit traffic on the M1/M42.I’d say you need a very early start to guarantee an 8:30 arrival. It’s normally stop start round junction 10 of M40,

When my car was stolen I was told that it bring discovered on someone’s driveway and keys inside the house wasn’t enough evidence on its own to secure a conviction.

I once got told in a performance review that I had to try and look busier. Line manager had absolutely no problems with the work I was doing, was meeting all targets and had stats to prove it etc., but others had commented that I didn’t look very busy so could I try and work on appearing to be busy as well as doing work!

    Maybe that’s Fred’s problem?

When we moved into this house it was with Scottish Power and they tried to insist I either had to pay the £100 up front or set up a £100 a month direct debit.

Since I intended to switch suppliers immediately I had no intention of doing either, I explained that I was happy to pay for the electricity, but not to pay up front and then try and claw it back. Wasn’t good enough apparently, in the end I just refused to supply any details, and swapped to Eon who I gave my initial readings to so never heard from SP again.
