I’ve been to Dalby and Sherwood Pines, both good but Dalby has the edge imo because of the way it’s built into the hillside.

Other than that, I’m not sure there’s much to choose between them.

I sew a bit, mainly very simple stuff e.g. bags

Don’t have the time to do as much as I’d like. I have a load of sample swatches (I design fabric for a hobby) which I’d love to repurpose into something useable.

We paid just under £600 for a new dropped kerb 4 years ago. Friends paid ~ 1600 for exactly the same thing. It’s really variable depending on area.

Also across the pond. House numbers weren’t sequential but related to distance from the start of the road.

Looking at neighbours gardens it’s def surface related. Any of the original concrete that was put down when the houses were built is free of snow irrespective of direction, proximity to houses etc. Other hard surfaces remain covered in snow.

We have a couple of alite chairs which are similar. Will have to look up the model

Edit: Alite mantis are the ones we gave.

Not closer to the house. If there are bodies they’ll have been in situ for over 60 years so not convinced there’ll be any heat from them!

Got fuel and tax but nothing more when I bought my Toyota from a main dealer. I tried for a tow bar but no joy. It was already cheaper than anything similar elsewhere though tbh

We were paying just over $2 a gallon in Washington State earlier this year. Worked out about 36p a litre, a third of the UK price at the time.

I cannot imagine how horrendous it must be to be trapped in a body that isn’t the right sex.

There’s nothing more gender conforming than believing the way you think/feel can be mismatched with your physical features.

what I care about is that I’m fairly compensated for the work I do

How can you judge what is fair if your only knowledge of salary is your own?

Yes, you’ll be surprised just how small a leak can be and still result in frequent loss of pressure.

We spent an entire winter losing pressure every couple of days, it wasn’t until the heating was turned off for an extended length of time that we discovered a tiny leak from an upstairs radiator. Whist the heating was on it was evaporating away so no evidence of the leak.

Indemnity is just protecting against enforcement action. Entirely pointless on something 10 years old. It gives no protection for the buyer against the quality of work. If I was buying I would want something other than indemnity for structural work.

Some of Reading is actually quite good.

Building a bridge over the river exclusively for pedestrians and cyclists is pretty good

We went to see a lego exhibition last year – the art of the brick and it was marred for me by the video at the beginning that showed them glueing everything together. Also suggesting that some of the sculptures weren’t possibly without resorting to glue – which seems like cheating to me!

It wouldn’t of been so bad but he then just tipped all the bits from the different sets into the mahoosive lego tub of bricks so we have no chance of rebuilding the models now.

    Does not compute…

I don’t think you can get the bbcode from the flickr app anymore

Had something similar the other week, after months of using the app which defaulted to my car it randomly decided to use a friend’s numberplate which was in the app after paying for some parking a couple of months ago.

Appealed and it was cancelled, but I had a lot of history of parking the car that got fined in this car park on a certain day of the week and evidence that I had paid for parking on that date.

Sounds like he could have paid £19.50 and done a course rather than gone to court.

They did a campaign round here once where people had the option of paying £25 to buy some lights or getting a £50 fine, always struck me as quite a good idea.

Depending on the car, the tilt option doesn’t always allow access to the boot, so if this is important you want to check prior.

Well I learnt that I should check the travel before setting off at 5:45am. Someone managed to crash in the queue so was closed from 26 to 24 at 6am, so after getting on at 27 spent an hour before diverted off at 26. Bolloxed my morning up.

Some poor families had far worse mornings though – RIP

Our house is not big enough, or plumbed in the right way to be ‘zoned’

All the central heating runs are in the floorspace between ground and first floor, if the heating is on in the lounge, most of the first floor will be heated from the pipe runs anyway.

The bonus with another honeywell is I know the receiver will fit the space. It’s sited on a wall that now has a kitchen unit against it with a cut out square for access.

esjberg and surrounds couldnt be more different to that IME.

My experience is more similar to Edukator, cycled a lot in the west part of Jutland and generally if you’re on the road Danish drivers give you a lot less space than the average UK driver. In the summer at least, most of the drivers round there are German anyway :-) Could pretty much always tell whether it was going to be a car with German plates v. Danish plates passing by how much room they left.

I have the non hybrid version which I’m really pleased with. Bike in the boot without the seats down is great. I’d have been happy with a hybrid, driven my dad’s prius a lot, but lots more pennies and majority of my driving at the moment is up and down the motorway.

Not sure there’s much globally important within 5 miles of where I grew up, if there is it’s passed me by.

Where I live now within 5 miles we’ve got birthplace/final resting place of the world’s first vertical-takeoff jet ‘aircraft’, Byron, Ada Lovelace, DH Lawrence, Eric Coates (Dambuster composer)

Amazed that task and finish has survived austerity cuts in local councils tbh, paying people for 37 hours work when they rarely average more than 28.

    I would far rather 7.5 hours x 4 days than 6 hours x 5 days

In fact it’s my current work schedule :-)
