I can never seem to push the oil from the bottom up so just go in from the top now.

How come? It should have no resistance at all.

I bleed from caliper to lever via syringe forcing the fluid out at the lever. Then lever to caliper (hanging down) forcing the fluid out at the caliper into a little bag.

This video is very comprehensive and clear

I would say to bleed them. if it was mineral fluid I would think of something else but as its dot fluid it sounds like it needs a bleed. Your issues are likely to be related to moisture and the loss of power is simply compression of moisture in the hydraulic system

Lizard skins to a small clear pack of about 8 patches I think for under a tenner, should cover most of the places that cables are likely to rub.

I like some colours for anodised parts in isolation but never felt they fitted on the bikes i have had (eg hope parts). My current bike is sort of mint frame with all black parts, its easy :) .

Thanks for sharing, really good to read reviews from riders other than the mags. I have this on my radar along with a couple of other bikes for the future and the more feedback the better. I would only give you a low score because we can’t get to see the excellent Aeris :)

Yeah i looked at the plastic pedals for a long time before taking the plunge. I couldn’t see anything near the weight for the price and as the pins were metal i thought it probably didn’t make a lot of different what the pedal underneath was like as you hardly touch it. I must say they seem pretty sturdy.

Not sure what the current full list of parts are but perhaps?

Lizard skin DSP grips on about 30g for the pair.
    Nukeproof Neutron evo 354g
Lose the dropper if you want a cheap 350+g out of the bike
Got to be able to find a strong stem lighter than the Bontrager one?
    Carbon bars?
Not sure but this lot will prob cost less that £200? before you start to get to really expensive parts.

At least you will have saved a bit of weight and bought some new bike parts, win win isn’t it?

Because society needs to be funded, the more you earn the more you can contribute. Are you suggesting that somebody earning 20k taking home 16k should take less home?
If you earn 200k you take 116k and can pay a lot more into your pension (tax free) along with a lot more.

I understand it needs to be funded and think all should pay (plucked out of thin air) 25% tax rate. I am suggesting exactly that, someone earning 20k takes home 15k, someone earning 200k takes home 150k.

Not a universally accepted view I know but I have never understood the need to penalise richer people to nearly half their earnings.

I think everyone should pay the same percentage of tax, whether you earn 15K or 100K. I have never understood the argument that just because you earn more you should somehow have to pay more via a higher percentage rate. Why should it be at a higher percent rate? Never understood that, If you did well at school, went to uni, got a great job, or set up your own business straight out of school and became very successful, why should you pay lots more tax? Why does any of that mean you should be paying more than someone that sits on a checkout or works in a factory. None of these jobs are better or worse than the other, but why more of a percentage of your wage has to be taken off you. Everyone should pay more tax for better services but not more of a percentage of your wage.

BTW I am a avg income earner who didn’t do well at school or go to Uni, the upper tax brackets don’t apply to me…

Really appreciate the responses, all taken on board and logged for the future. Will look up penmachno too for the future thanks. It seems like a long time away, but the uplifts get busy so wanted to book this week if poss. We have both been riding for a number of years and for my sins I enjoyed my BMX till I was 32 (now 45) so will probably cruise down the trails in tow to see she is ok on the blues and avoid the green.. Then see how the day goes.

    Thanks all

As I thought, you can have a good day and a bad day with ppl anywhere and we aren’t expecting 5 star welcome, thats not our thing. I think BPW will be the more open to my wife riding the green and blues for a day. I will go for blue and a couple of non “+” reds to keep me going. Maybe Antur next time

I guess a Monday in mid July will at least be reasonably quiet-ish? Its not school hols so better than a weekend.

BTW do many women go to these places or is it mostly a man thing?
