You can buy direct from Santa Cruz as they have a shop on the UK site.
I have them on one bike and Deity on another. The house grips are a nice compound and slim but due to being slim I fine them just a little harder underneath, so I prefer Deity Lockjaw.
eb2429Free MemberI’m not sure what the fuss is about?
OP pulls out
Guy behind flashes
OP gives middle finger
Guy brake tests him when he gets in front.Nothing happened and everyone goes about their day, normal thing you see on the road between other drivers.
Don’t bother the police please, they have far more important things to deal with…
eb2429Free Member^^ I like that idea.
Lots of posts on me being right wing Mail reading chauvinist, but none of those are true, also not entirely sure what a snowflake is if im honest.
Male, female, left or right, have no time for celebs preaching after enlightenment or saying sorry on my behalf. Or spouting shite from the right like Katie Hopkins. Nothing more complicated than a rant about someone that got up my nose, but please carry on, didn’t mean to interrupt. :D
eb2429Free Member“Oh deary me….”
What does that mean?
I am 2nd generation immigrant from a northern European country if that helps, But the fact is someone is apologising for me for some reason again it seems.@Kypton, Are you really going to run along and say “someone said something about you on a forum you have no interest in” can i have a thumbs up like,or is that facebook? :)
While she won’t agree with my opinion of getting back to music she has in the recent past said those things…
eb2429Free MemberYou’re complaining that she’s getting too much attention by creating a thread to give her some attention?
Good point, but Lots of things we could apologise about in the past or present, just not sure Lily Allen is the one to do it for me (as i am both from this island and happen to be white). The almost incitement to riot comments about Grenfell were in my view wrong as Countzero said, the rest were just bizarre.
eb2429Free Memberlol :D
She is on the box in the corner that you sofa faces.

eb2429Free MemberClear dubbin works for the those little holes in the winter.
corrected ” no cloth fabric upper to soak up water like some other 5-10s”
eb2429Free MemberFreerider Pro, very grippy solid shoe with no fabric upper to soak up water like other 5-10s. Spray tongue and lace with the waterproof stuff to help, Will my feet get a wet in the winter? probably a little but excellent overall
eb2429Free MemberIn general if you could say DH specific bikes are a small percentage of a brands bike sales.
Stupid question coming up:
Would the manufacturers sell more bikes if they raced with Enduro with marketing around “even capable in DH CUP”? What I mean is I guess they don’t sell many DH bikes due to the very specific intended use? Or does it trickle down sales to other models in the range regardless?
I understand they wouldn’t necessarily win with a less specific bike but being competitive for example top 10 or 20 would that be a massive sales pitch?
eb2429Free MemberI’m a bit conflicted on the Mick Hannah tactic of binning off World Cup rounds to practice on one track that is local to you to try to grab the win.
About 10% of me is glad this didn’t pay off, however he always comes across as such a good bloke that in his case I don’t mind. He did look sour towards the end, though – as you’d expect having gone so singlemindedly for the one specific win.
I did say the same to my wife as we watched it live, All the riders come across as decent people, but i did think he could have gone to the last round (if fit) and competed and perhaps got a podium?
eb2429Free MemberThanks all, its difficult to see the whole track when they only place a few cameras, I just went back to watch practice head cam with Minaar and there isn’t a great deal of rocky stuff. They said Hill had said he was tired at the end and had arm pump, was this probably a direct result of the Enduro not soaking it up like bloodsexmagik said?
eb2429Free MemberThere’s a triple back-up system, and it’s the riders responsibility to raise a query if they think it’s wrong.
Fair, but seems reasonable to expect the organisers or organisation involved to get the timing correct?
The Cairns track has a lot to with that TBH. If would be a different story at Vallnord or Ft William for instance
A question experts on here can help with though as i am still very new to this.
Wasn’t SH quick in the very rocky stuff though and lost it on the flat climb or at least didn’t pull away on the peddling bit? wouldn’t that mean the bike was good at DH stuff or the DH bikes aren’t that much better?eb2429Free MemberYeah good point which is why it was even more special in the technical bits to be that quick i guess. So is the Enduro that capable or the factory DH bikes not that much better than a single crown Enduro? Could we see more Enduro single crown bikes putting riders in the top ten of the mens?
eb2429Free MemberI understand and you are correct they cobbled it together and the feed wasn’t theirs, but to play devils advocate, the championship date and contracts could/should have been sorted long ago, is that really a reasonable excuse? Not technical with these things, but it seems to drop out more with the Mens, is that to do with online bandwidth or something? Not sure how it works but the BBC from the same feed didn’t have the same issue?
eb2429Free MemberUCI just announced it was a timing issue with Tissot for Miriam. WTF i thought when she was 40 sec down without falling but as the coverage was poor who knows what was going on at the top section off camera.
Hill finished 6th in the Elite mens, as a newcomer to watching DH WC how did that happen? Does it say more about the track not being very DH? The bike difference between DH and Enduro? Or the ability of riders in the “elite” mens at the moment? Or is Hill still that good even though it isn’t his main discipline and the rest didn’t matter?
TBH shit timing with splits not shown all the time, how can a UCI championship based on timing be off? Poor online viewing issues from RB dropping and the BBC was painful.
Still great to watch though :D
eb2429Free MemberIsn’t a hardcore hardtail just like a full suspension bike with a lockout rear shock? Or am i missing something?
Genuine question, not trying to annoy although I guess by no one replying ppl assumed so…
we have 2x HHT (Orange Crush) but wondered what is the difference if the same geo on a FS bike with a lock out rear shock?

eb2429Free MemberIsn’t a hardcore hardtail just like a full suspension bike with a lockout rear shock? Or am i missing something?
Soft if you want and an instant hardtail if you want to feel it come alive through the pedals?
eb2429Free MemberYou could say the same for F1 (until the cost capping) or other sports. sure if you asked a mechanic if he would rather prep twice in his own time or once under extreme pressure he would take the former, wouldn’t you think?
BTW I quite like SC and don’t have a preference of Gwin, Hart, Brosnan, Minaar.
eb2429Free MemberA bit primitive not having an identical bike as a back up!
I agree,
The final race, with the chance to win the WC, and they say they had to build a bike up? It would make sense to built up spare for each rider completed up to 9/10ths and only the practice run adjustments would need to be put on the bike for Greg M.
If not then someone I would suggest should invest in a little more prep for those professional elite riders. Don’t expect this to happen all the way down the field but we are talking about the big hitting teams.
eb2429Free MemberWe seem to have an openly racist and xenophobic PM intent on purging the country of foreigners, whatever the cost
Sorry, but what foreigners are we purging? And what statement of racism has the PM made you can like to?
Not a fan of the Women but not sure i could let that statement go without asking for evidence.
eb2429Free Memberlooks to me like he made an error unfortunately, but good to see any rider get up and walk away. Still not sure all bikes would break with that impact after seeing some DH crashes into rocks and trees on YT.
eb2429Free Membercrap. just ordered one of these.
Oh dear, this thread is encouraging for my purchase.
Was going to replace a sagging Reverb with one of these. Maybe I’ll get the Revive instead but that’s even more expensive :¬(while i am not belittling the issues some have experienced I don’t think 5 people posting in a topic makes for a serious problem imo.
eb2429Free MemberDid all the SC sindicate riders perform really poorly or did i miss a good performance from one of them? Badly setup bikes or something else as they are some of the best rider with the best kit?
Danny Hart and Gwin were awesome to watch and appeared a different league to the rest and Tanhee stock is definitely rising her speed through all parts of the track was breathtaking. Well done to those 3
eb2429Free MemberOk sorry Raceface :) I take it back.
But I often wonder if its best to go stiff granite like stem and stiff bars from a different brand, or choose to follow what would likely have been tested together, which is manufacturers own in house products together…
eb2429Free MemberDo you think it depends if they are manufacturers or re-boxing companies?
Companies that design and manufacture compared to buying stock from a catalogue then applying a brand logo? Not sure which ones that might be, but at a guess Thomson and Renthal compared to RaceFace and Nukeproof?
Not bike snobbery on my part as i only have factory fit bars and stem by Kore who definitely have parts made for them. But curious for the next upgrade.eb2429Free MemberI have one and it doesn’t have any play in that direction at all, but our does have vertical play 2-3mm, I am surprised it can twist at all tbh as i imagine its locked in mechanically. although i could say that about the 2-3mm height drop too..
eb2429Free Member13.5kg for my HT 650b
Does that include the basket of onions?[/quote]
Are you saying its lardy?
eb2429Free Member760mm 5’8 44cm shoulders, going to try 740mm with grips pushed in just to try it as you never know till you try. But 760mm feels right on my bike, but that would all change or different bike with longer top tube i guess. Wouldn’t go wider as it would require too much torso movement to turn.
eb2429Free Member13.5kg for my HT 650b
As whitestone said who the hell uses lbs, Americanism or lots of old fruit and veg market traders?
eb2429Free MemberYou could hire a bike from Commencal shop if it s not far away, think they have 3 in Andorra.
Looking at doing it myself next year as Commencal are only direct sellers with few outlets to try their bikes, so while in the area I could get to try a bike and visit a a bike park…
eb2429Free MemberIt just seems a lazy attempt (at best) to be cool.
Reading all the posts I see some justify the terminology because its organised by women, however if it was run by men and used that terminology?
eb2429Free MemberSo much hostility there must be Momentum members on here..
You’re trying way too hard. Not really I can’t work out where the venom comes from, people seem to have such polar views on here its an eye opener, and the amount of anti brexit/government/wealth/capitalistic posts, leads me to think these views can only be spouted by people close to the meat.
No one posts “I understand what you are saying, but i feel” its all “AAAAArgh he’s shite”, “those Tories are idiots”…
But i guess it is what it is on some forums
eb2429Free Memberhes just of full of shit as Johnson
QT appearance from a few weeks back which was a lesson in grandiose bollox
according to you..
Which is fine but not everyone will agree
eb2429Free Memberi Like JRM in a strange kind of way, I don’t believe (imo) he is the same as many career politicians, he seems to know a fair bit and doesn’t mind holding his own party to account on the matter of parliamentary scrutineer sometimes so for that alone i like him.
On the subject of daft cabinet ministers are we really assuming this is all one sided and the third tier of labour shadow ministers are beyond reproach?
Some on both sides are pretty woeful.
eb2429Free MemberGenuine question – would you care if you subscribed to Sky (assuming you don’t)?
When I employ a plumber to do a job, I’m quite intrigued what other people pay a plumber. It kind of helps me to work out if my plumber is good value for money or I’m getting shafted.
You are correct I don’t subscribe, but if i did i wouldn’t mind paying and I wouldn’t care, as i made the decision it was a worth while expense, and then entered into an agreement to pay for it. i have no option with the TV licence if I watch a couple of programs on ITV and 4 occasionally, if i don’t i could go to prison.
If you describe this as North Korea some would reply, “bloody dictator” but in 2017 we have to pay for a TV licence to help fund a state run broadcaster and if you don’t you go to prison.
Its very odd when you think about it…
eb2429Free MemberEveryone else in the industry does (probably slightly more). Whole thing is a none event dressed up as a massive scandal – totally pointless unless you’re intention is to try and cause the BBC as much grief as possible.
The point is they are not in the same industry, the charter is in place to provide a service as a state owned broadcaster not compete directly with private sector for ratings on Saturday night or multiple radio stations to squeeze the private stations.
This is the point i feel is glossed over with this information, who cares what sky pays staff, but i very much do care what they pay BBC staff, the same as i care what they pay civil servants or MP’s (if i’m paying)
eb2429Free MemberI think the distinction is the Tories want the BBC to be more pro-Tory so are just coming up with ways to try and turn the public against it so they can manipulate it more with any public outrage. Plenty of public sector workers are paid more than the PM.
what a surprise, its all the Tories fault…
eb2429Free MemberI felt they turned the story to gender pay gap, and away from “look at the ridiculous money we pay some staff for reading news” compare to the PM and ministers. Some seem to thing this should just be a gender pay issue and all should get the same but honestly none should be paid what they are. Put them all on 50k and if they want to walk fine, what is Tess Daly going to do? What is John humphreys going to do? drag hundreds of thousands of pople over to LBC? fine don’t have a problem with this as the charter is not about chasing ratings.
Its not about context as the private sector can pay what they like but the bbc is not or should not be competing for ratings and chasing stars to host shows, thats not what the state prodcaster is all about. IMO
eb2429Free MemberI don’t mind Adam Boulton on Sky, Johnny Vaughan on Radio X or any ITV person getting 10 million a week as i’m not paying
Yes you are … just more indirectly. #FollowTheMoney
I understand that indirectly i will be for lots of things, state funded TV from the licence fee is slightly different though don’t you think? It would be like finding out MP’s or minister for rural affairs were on 800k salary instead of the 70-90ish they are on now. It wouldn’t be right for the state to pay that much for an individual. However i personally think MP’s and ministers should be on a hell of a lot more than they are on now anyway,
especially compared to BBC staff like John Humphreys. Why is he paid more than ministers who have huge depts to run whether labour or conservative.Seems the BBC has moved on very quickly from this story, yet if it was ministers on this wage they would be days of people lined up for shows to moan about it…
