The insurance policy will be invalid
The material conditions have changed because the driver is no longer allowed to drive, dosent matter if he is driving it or not.

He would need to contact insurance company and inform them of the change of circumstances, they may still insure it.

If your policy allows you to drive other vehicles not belonging to you , the vehicle you are driving MUST still be insured by someone else

3×2 joists wer3 never intended to take weight, they are only for the ceiling, you will see some bracing pieces from the joists to the roof rafters which will give more strength
Depends what you want the space for, if it’s just for bobbing up to store stuff 4x 2 would be ok with 18mm mdf flooring boards ,
If it’s for a bedroom etc it’s a whole different box of frogs

Pressure treated sawn for the wood

Make sure you treat any cut edges with end grain preservative

Fix wooden battens to the concrete posts with coach bolts, then fasten the horizontal slats to them , but may still look gash if the posts are not in line !

You would be better off ditching the feet and standing the base on a wooden frame , it would be much more stable

You could do it that way, but the deck would settle in a very short time, especially with putting a jacuzzi on it
Do it once , do it right

I still remember my dads last breaths,I was heartbroken like you are at the moment.
However with hindsight, and some wise words from my dad shortly after his cancer diagnosis, I carried on ,looking after my mum and making sure we talked about him on a regular basis, it’s 6 years now and we genuinely still talk and laugh about the good times we had together.
Death of a loved one is awful, but also inevitable.
Grieving is normal and after that rebuilding and carrying on is also ok
My heartfelt sympathies you and your family.

In reality the police will do very little to nothing for such a minor offence, most forces are not even going to reports of burglary because of cuts to police numbers
    I would forget about it

Don’t get me wrong, I’m not saying disappear from theirr lives, just leave the family home if that’s causing the problem and still be a part of their lives providing help and support, but giving yourself and your family some room and time apart
Hope you find the strength to do what needs doing

If you are a destabilising influence on the people around you and as you’ve said thats not going to change
Surely the best thing to do is take yourself out of the situation for the sake of your wife and kids , leave them and let them get on with a more stable and happy life

We had two and 1/2 years of ver6 similar with two parents nursed with cance4 and a host of other things.it seemed like there was no light at the end of the tunnell.
BUT there was , it was a very difficult time but we got through it and life is good again now.
So keep looking after your family in their time of need, and slowly things will get better
    Good luck

To be fair to the builder, a lintel can be fitted without disturbing the original brickwork I& you are lucky.
I can’t see any reputable builder fitting patio doors without a lintel
