I had to explain to the postman when I had some RS Judy’s delivered back in the late 90’s. Very colourful box with “There’s a Judy in the box” in large text. They were for riding, but definitely were forks and not an inflatable friend.

Saw one of these at the Lego shop in Downtown Disney whilst on my hols. Was tempted, but looked a fair beast to tackle.

I think I’m quite lucky then as I have used City Link a fair bit and only had one problem over the years. My local car tyre shop gets six collections a day from City Link so they’re maybe better in out area because of that. I can imagine theirs little money in being a courier for the drivers and they’ll be under a fair bit of pressure to make lots of deliveries in a short space of time.

I turned up for a night ride a week or so ago with lights….but forgot batteries. Had charged them night before and left them kitchen. Fail.

We had a guy at work buy a sofa from DFS that wasn’t in the sale. Didn’t think such a thing existed!

I’m in for this, was just thinking about it this morning.

Kevj: your picture is definitely better than mine. It’s part of my usual loop up there, nice and quiet and some good short sharp climbs.

Pretty surprised he left Specialized. CRC must have waved some money his way to get him away from Specialized.

Pretty poor picture, but from my road ride this morning. Looking out towards Ennerdale in the Lakes.

Waiting for signs of daylight before heading out on my road bike. Roads should be nice and quiet.

I’ve really enjoyed the last three Batman films. Would be great to see them release another. Made way for a Robin film didn’t it?

Wiring in my house is pretty scatty, think it was a Friday afternoon job. We’ve got one downstairs light joined to all the upstairs lights, same with some of the plug sockets. Also found a cut down screw in one of the fuse sockets in the kitchen. Satisfying to be slowly sorting things out though, at least the next owner will have fewer surprises (hopefully none!).

Me too! Quite looking forward to reading it, will probably have it read in the next couple of days if the kids are occupied with their toys.

Trek do seem good with their warranties. Someone I know had an old Fuel (10 years or so old),which developed a crack in a weld between the seat tube and top tube. Trek confirmed it was a write off and gave him a new Fuel frame under warranty. He then had an excuse to upgrade his forks, brakes etc as none would fit his new frame (as old bike had v-brakes, short travel SID forks etc). Expensive do, but still great to get a new frame under warranty.

I was almost grateful I broke my arm near my shoulder rather than dislocated it, just so I didn’t have to get it popped back in. Glad to hear it wasn’t too bad though.

I’d listen to the doc and lay off as long as you can. Get on the turbo trainer instead, or exercise bike at the gym.

Thanks for the comments. Appreciate it is a bit random. Like the suggestion of badger security or that baby Robins could be to blame.

Will just have to put this one down to experience and see if I can get a better hutch for remaining rabbit.

    Thanks again.

I wasn’t too sure if we would have foxes in the area, but there is a small wooded area behind the opposite houses. I guess the damage to the hutch also made me think it was something bigger with more power. I have pretty limited knowledge though! Might speak to RSPCA and see if they can advise. Would foxes come out during the day? This happened between 9am and 8pm. Dog was ‘missing’ between 1pm and 2pm.

Wasn’t sure if Police would be interested, worth ringing them? Think I’ll call RSPCA though. Was a pretty nasty scene to be greeted with.

Hutch has taken a good hammering. Will try and get a picture web I get in from work.

I use a Garmin 410. Think RRP was something like £350, but there were loads of places selling them for under £150 including the HR monitor. Great watch, loads of functions. The Garmin software you upload the data on to is pretty good too. You can change the settings between bike and run, plus you can buy a cadence sensor for cycling too (extra £50 ish). Think my only gripe is sometimes the sensor ring round the edge of the watch can be a little tricky to use. Lots of vids on the watch on YouTube, so well worth watching a few reviews before you buy.

Quite like the air horn bell. Think he does need to chill out a bit, despite some of the idiot car drivers shown in the video.

I picked up a Mount Vision last week. Nearly original spec with all the owners manuals etc. I had one back in 96/97 and used it at the Malverns, even met Jon Whyte there too.

Thanks for the post ‘racefaceec90’, I’ve been mulling over a similar purchase. Although I have a road bike and was thinking of a cx bike for winter use. Seems like it could be the way forward.

It’d be nice to ‘only’ have the levels of debt shown in the posts above. I’ve definitely learnt the hard way. Hoping to have the majority of my credit card and loan debt paid off in the next couple of years.

Full on downhill bikes look impressive to me. I couldn’t do them justice, far from it. They look great though.

I spoke to the AA yesterday and their standard policy covers bikes to £1.5k per bike. Bikes above this can be covered but need declared separately. I’m getting good prices from them with the bonus of £28 cash back via Quidco. Worth a look.

We’re short of one man in a four man team. May not be the most competitive team, but should be good fun.

Can’t see it affecting you too badly on any bike, un-less it had already flared up through running. I found a foam roller help me stretch my ITB and I’ve not had any issues since. Any time I feel a bit of pain I get on the roller and it sorts it out.
