I fractured mine on the 5th of February this year when I slipped off crossing a level crossing. Advised no surgery needed, just a sling for 6 weeks. I was off work for around four and a bit weeks as I couldn’t drive and work is over 30 miles away.

Been back in work now for over 4 weeks, been back to gentle cycling and running and its been fine. Also had 2no physio appointments up to now.

Whilst off work in a sling I didn’t do any sports.

Go on the advice of the consultant in the fracture clinic.

ps it does feel uncomfortable at the beginning, especially sleeping. I still cannot sleep on the side of the fracture.

Ive just bought a new roadbike with carbon wheels and rim brakes and live in a hilly area. I personally think rim brakes are fine for road bikes and look better. I can see the benefit for discs on mtbs.

Whether disc brakes really take off is dependant on what chris froome and co. ride in the next few years, although I’m not fussed either way tbh.

If its raining heavily I go out on the mtb and not the roadbike though.

Use kindling, then some smaller logs on top and then the larger logs. Make sure the logs are dry as well.

There has been a lot of rain here in the last month – id avoid natural routes myself. Id personally go to the marin which stands up well to the wet.

Edit. Just noticed you said no marin. Penmachno is open but youll get very wet!!

My type r gt has done 133,000 and still on the original clutch and exhaust. No major issues with it except for notmal wear and tear (discs etc).

Think they are just trying to hype it up. Mismatch but wouldnt surprise me if it happened.

I think the cost of bikes in general are getting ridiculous for what you get. However if we keep buying theyll keep charging.

    Depends on your financial situation.

I would take the redundancy myself, retrain if need be to do something else. Family before job.

Seems like it still hasnt sold out yet. Im assuming its down to the fact they are taking double the entries this year as they have the small and normal length event.

I was aiming to do this until i broke my collarbone!

Difficulty with diets is after restricting yourself for weeks or months, you tend to go back to your old eating habits after the end of the diet. Which means your current weight.

Mayby look at some permanent changes, eat more natural non processed foods, cut out snacking, slightly reduce plate portion etc.

Deffo wouldn’t pay anymore if you originally supplied them with your payment details. I guess it wasn’t a large value item as you didn’t notice it still in your account.

If you haven’t paid i’d pay up.

Is there much mileage and wear and tear on other parts of the car? If so I’m no sure I would bother.

Same ride for me, strava says 1132 calories and garmin says 1064 active calories so only around 50 calories in it.

Is your weight the same in the garmin and strava settings?

I have the whyte t129rs and that weights 30lbs without pedals. Great trailbike. I would think the carbon t130 version is slightly lighter.

Builders/plumbers etc usually have an account with a supplier.

Either he doesnt trust you to pay or the supplier wont credit him an account.

I also have an anthem 27.5 1 and a whyte 129rs. The anthem is just over 25lbs and is a quicker bike than the whyte, the whyte being better on what it was designed for – black/red trail centre stuff. I think if you spend a lot of £££ on the santa cruz you may get it down light but not with a whyte im afraid.

If you havent got one go for a 29er xc hardtail.

I had a blur and now a 129rs. Wouldnt say the rs is more suited to the uk though as the rear tyre clearance isnt the best.

Id go for a 5010 myself.

Aero bars on my roof and the kayak upside down has virtually no effect on fuel economy in my car. I guess its down to the aerodynamics of the roofbars and the kayak.

Without having something to compare to, id prefer a fixed salary to start with. How would you know if the targets are acheivable?

Id also like something stating core hours. Nothing wrong working to get a job done as long ad you get it back, otherwise could end up in a culture of always working late to complete tasks instead of the company hiring more staff.

Lost my father in march this year as well – take it very easy for a few weeks. Then his sister (my aunt) passed away 3 weeks after.

It gets easier over time, remember the good times.

Also if its a signal over the interned what is the picture and speed quality of football matches. When I stream BT Sport from an app to the TV the picture looks laggy.
