LOL, same old answer that everybody gives that’s never properly had to deal with somebody close to them with CFS/PVF/ME in their life.

Lol, but just mayby I do know someone very close who suffered, and once they chose to stop worrying/analysing/discussing their condition they improved and made a full recovery. Anyways Im out.

😀 Nah never read it, just seemed like stress to me.

My guess is stress/anxiety. How much of your day do you spend analysing/worrying about whats wrong with you? Mayby the only thing wrong with you is that you keep worrying/analysing what is wrong due to the symptoms you experience, but the symptoms are the effect of your previous worrying? And you are trapped in a loop?

My first set lasted 12 months, current set still going at 18 months. There is a lifetime bearing warranty on sc bikes, just send in the old ones and they post you new ones. No need for a new axle and pretty easy to change,, but youll probably need the bearing removal tools.

Mine gets a bit of grease now and then.

Go for it, you only live once!

Scot scale 20 – use it for a mix of road, smooth trails from my house..

Sc blur lt2 – , used for rougher off road, local trail centres.

Difference in weight is around 7lb and i could get away with just one bike, but like both.

Always wanted a santa cruz, so demoed a blur lt2 and a nomad. Really impressed with both bikes, but nomad was probably too much bike for my everyday riding so went for the blur.

I have also bought bikes based on reviews having not test ridden them and still have these as well, so got lucky i guess.

I dont mind paying for parking at any trail centre if it goes towards maintenance, as long as its reasonable. We pay for other things anyway such as gym membership etc.

Also had to have a new charger off them last week, no problems getting it either.

Oh you wont find a difference in ease, youll hurt and breathe hard on both. You just cover more distance on a road bike.

A road bike will always be quicker on the road than a mtb on the road. Suppose its bike weight, gearing, drag etc. Tend to also be out of the saddle more, due to gearing on the roadie. On a 60min road loop I’m around 12min quicker on my road bike than on my scott scale.

I had this dilema before buying my new bike as it came standard with 53/39 and 25/11, as i live in a very hilly area i swapped the rear for a 28/11.

Mine also went up from around £450 to £800 for no reason as i hadnt claimed. Just like everything else at the moment everything is flying up in prices. I shopped around and got it cheaper elsewhere.

    Ive got a superlite voyager
and superlite quasar.. They are both excellent, however the voyager is tight for two and rucksacks, especially if you are stuck in it for some time on a mountain. I use the voyager as a one person tent. The porches on both these tents are not freestanding and would require some type of securing/pegging.

I never use pro pedal on my VPP2 blur which has the rp23, never found it to be bobbing really.

There are some new bits on the mbr which are good, can’t remember it’s name but the one with the drop. The last downhill is good imo. Its deffo worth doing, mayby if you are travelling far do the Beast which is a combination of the mbr and dragons back.

Its technically a bit more difficult than Penmachno, but at 18km is nowhere near as long.

I’ve got a couple of Osprey talons (for hiking and light camping), the 22 and 44 and they’ve been excellent up to now. Havent had them long enough to comment on durability though. Wouldn’t hesitiate to buy one.

thanks for you reply and offer. Not confirmed the date yet, depends really on the next dry spell we get. Also just noticed the other thread asking about routes in the lakes as well.

I’ve seen 160mm forks on them, I’ve got the talas 140 at the moment, if I was buying now I’d go for the normal fox 150mm (not the talas), as I hardly use the adjustable settings.

Superb bike when I demoed one, went with a blur lt2 in the end but would also be happy with a carbon nomad.

My Direct Line renewal has just come through and has gone up by 33%, which is rediculous as I’ve never had a crash or claimed. Need to shop around this weekend.

My Honda Type R is showing a little bit of wear on the driver bolster, although it is quite high and snug fitting. Car has done a genuine 50k.

Might depend on the shape and fit of the seat?

I use SprintGPS, can track your run, cycle and walking. It will plot it onto a map and you can race against a ghost (prevoius) activity – good for running with headphones off road.

In my experience with the joplin4 you’ll need your receipt for warranty! 😉

Everything is rollable but I’m not sure I’d take a beginner around it as there are quite a bit of steep rocky sections there. Penmachno loop 1 or Marin??

Yes I use it, well the 2003 and 2010 version, depending on what version the client has. If it is only a small project your doing then I’m not sure I’d bother, but anything medium or more, or multiple projects, I’d go for it.

If it balanced out over time – give and take, then I’d happily do overtime for free. However if it was 7-10hrs extra per week over contract, every week, then I wouldn’t. Why wasn’t the job advertised at the higher working week?

I’ve had nothing but hassle with my Joplin 3 and Joplin 4. The joplin 4 is currently in for warranty but really don’t like loosing my £200 seatpost for a month at a time.

If all you’r night rides is between 2/3hrs, go for the joystick. I had the mk5 one (240lumen) and it was very good as a helmet light.

I swapped it for a diablo (mk2 900 lumen) though as quite a bit of my night riding is 1 to 2 hrs, and by cycling the diablo from high to medium, I am able to use this as a main light with the added benefit of a higher 900 lumen setting. For longer night rides I use the diablo on medium setting as a helmet light and a toro as my main light.
