Anyone know what size bottle the Fenwick’s sealant is on merlin

I’d try a lower leg service first, if they are a year old as RS recommend they are serviced every 50 hours of riding if I remember right.

Really easy to do, just have a look for SRAMs channel on you tube or download the manual

I’d be amazed if you could, eBay is your best bet. Try searching within so many miles of you, there may be a localish seller who’s happy for you to collect.

That CRC code is only knocking £5 off for me even thought the email says £15

Surprised nobody has mentioned the 650b+ size that’s mentioned as that’s a new one to me.

Or am I just not keeping up with the industry?

Any increase in rear center length caused by suspension action will always cause the cage to move forwards in order to compensate for the increase in chain length.

Good point, had a numpty moment there and forgot the whole purpose of the rear mech

If the free postage was still orders over £20 I’d give it a go

Wouldn’t the effect be mitigated by the freehub allowing thee chain length to change when your not peddling?

Same here, 150mm doesn’t suit the frame very well. Ive found 140mm suits me best.

Personally I’d remove the protection circuit and connect the battery directly to the last, then I’d fut a balance lead. You can then charge it with a lithium balance charger.

I made my own battery for my lumicycle led in this way. My charger is a radio controlled car mulitcharger by the way (core rc)

A charger would be about 20 quid though.

Edit, have you asked lumicycle how much a repair would be? (Assuming its thier battery)

Seems a bit odd that the seller contacted you like that regarding the delivery. From what you’ve written it comes across as a scam.

What courier did they use? I’d be asking for a copy of the delivery record to see signatures etc as a starting point

The CoG is irrelevant regarding front/rear weight distribution. All the matters is the BB location relative to wheelbase.

Surely this isn’t true when seated?

I’d recommend your uncle calls western power distribution on0845 724 0240 to find out if that cut out is Thiers

I’d start to trace that ‘outbuilding’ supply now and rule this one out

    dvatcmark

It really looks like a sepperate supply from the DNO, where abouts does your uncle live ? I think his first step is to call his DNO and they should be able to advice on that connection

    dvatcmark

No, Both your photos are identical in reality, just the top one is a combined unit. The cut out only has a fuse on the live. Neutral is normally just a terminal. Earth connection varies, and if these cables come off your consumer unit like you think they do is the earth connection you might struggle with as in that photo there is no earth.

This is the same on the consumer unit, live is fused or on a MCB neural is just a bolted connection

The next step is to trace the cables and prove that these ones are the ones you’ve found in the house.

The first check is are the cables visually the same size and type at both ends

Those ‘users’ just bypass the meter anyhow, normally with 2.5mm cable…….

As it’s got a seal in the fuse of implies that it’s a non metered connection so is illegal to tamper with.

Is the ‘breaker’ in the house part of the consumer unit or is it separate? My suspicion is that this connection is a T off before the meter for the house.

On the other hand if the cable to the garage comes off the house consumer unit all you need is to have a small garage distribution board installed assuming the cable is healthy and you’ve got a suitable earth. The distribution board will have 1 MCB for lights and 1 for sockets. You can do all this legally yourself, but unless you have the right test gear I’d recommend getting a sparky in.

The second picture looks like a service cut out to me, on the right will be a fuse and left a terminal. This would then feed a Meter and the Meter would feed a consumer unit, just as per the top photo. You certainly shouldn’t use that supply directly as it’s usually be fused with a 100a fuse

The interesting bit is why the incoming cable is singles rather than a cable with some form of sheath and/or armour. Can you find out where that cable comes from.

    That’s not how it works.
Unlocking the phone via your provider simply means you are then free to use a SIM from another provider. It has zero effect on your ability to flash a custom ROM on it, that’s a wholly different ‘unlock’

You’ve got that wrong I’m afraid Couger goolge it if you don’t believe me.

    Example http://gs3.wonderhowto.com/how-to/super-fast-easy-way-install-cyanogenmod-your-samsung-galaxy-s3-no-rooting-0149446/

Its true for other phones but not the s3

    dvatcmark

Yes. A friend did the same to his s3 and put cyanogenmod ROM onto it and reccon it’s transformed the phone (quicker, better battery life etc).

You shoudnt need to root it either, just get the unlock code from your supplier at the end of the contact then replace the stock rom.

cyanogenmod have an automated procedure to install the ROM now

I don’t put a light on my bike as it gets covered in mud frequently and isn’t visible quite often and it’s easy to forget to check before riding in the road.

Instead I have one on my camel back and one on the back of my helmet.

For a low voltage setup like you describe I would use 1.5mm sq pvc twin flex. 1.5mm sq flat twin is also OK just harder to work with due to it being stiffer.

I’d also sleeve the cores to be red/black too differentiate is from an ac system

It might have been that the grade of steel on the Wilko’s drill bit I used was poor but the prongs both bent and then snapped after I straightened them.

The socket idea is another possibility, I’ve seen differing measurements for the prongs though, some detail them as being 19.8mm centers, have you made a tool yourself?

Sorry should have said that’s what I’m going to try first, if that fails I’m not sure what else to try.

The drawing details the head as being torqued to 55Nm, I’n not a mechanical engineer so I’m not sure if a seat clamp will hold it
