What would happen if it happened to catch fire on bonfire night due to a ‘stray’ firework?

Endomondo will do this. I use it to track my rides, but the Mrs can also check where I am at any time on the map either on the website or from the app on her phone

Strangely I was just about to ask the same question, so watching the responses with interest.

We too like the corian worktop, but I’m concerned it’ll go dull quickly and might get chipped easliy.

I have the same problem with my 105 gears on my commuter (5700 series). Spent literally hour trying to get the indexing to work, and still haven succeeded.

Yet I have the same setup on my road bike and that works perfectly. I can’t work it out, I’ve even swapped the gear between the bikes and the problem followed.

The only thing ive got left to try is removing the paint inside the cable stoppers on the frame

Since the latest update my one plus one will only charge at max rate when it’s connected to its original psu.

If the anthem is a large 26er I could be interested in the frame if you do keep the whyte

To keep them isolated you need a tank really, so you can keep an eye on them for a week or two and also treat the water with anti bacterial treatment. The danger if you don’t is that they bring in an infection which can wipe out the pond (I found this out the hard way). It depend how attached you are to the existing fish or how expensive they are if you bother with the isolation period or not.

I’ve never had a problem with new fish not getting on with the existing ones, mine are koi, goldfish and shubunkin. Everytime I’ve introduced new ones they’ve gone straight over to the other and ‘joined in’ with what they are doing.

Come winter there’s not a lot you need to do, i stop feeding mine when the temperature fall below 10 degrees average. When it starts to freeze just make sure theres a hole in the ice, a plastic football in the water usually does the trick

I’ve done exactly what you are asking, I upgraded my old laptop from 7 to 10, then re-installed using the win 10 iso created using the media creation tool.

After the upgrade I extracted the windows 10 registration code using a bit of VB script and wrote it down ready in case the re-install required it.

I booted using the ISO, flattened the drive and proceeded with the re-install, when prompted I entered the code and it came back as not recognized which is odd. However there’s a skip button at this stage, so I clicked it and the install carried on fine. Once installed windows comes up as activated under properties so all is good and its much quicker than the upgraded version

I’ve got the xtools one, and am pretty happy with it. Nice and sold construction with a decent clamp and it turns back on its self when not required. OK it’s not as nice as my folding park one, but for the money I can’t complain .

If you do the high peak trail I’d recommend driving to middleton top and starting from there. Unless the kids love killer climbs, as if you start from cromford you’ll have to face two of them up to middleton top

You can do a clean install by downloading the win 10 ISO from the MS website.

    add in the neighbourhood postcodes

Makes no difference , it’ll only hide 500m around the start point if the ride starts within a privicy zone.

I had put in stacks of post codes to blanket the whole area , then found this out after I’d noticed my start point wasn’t as hidden as I hoped and did some reading up on how the privicy works

I’ll be going for it tonight hopefully, can’t be any worse than 8.1 surly

Mine has done it a couple of times but I’ve always put that down to the fact I had a hope QR in it. Changed it to an xt one and its been fine since

You can have 220v phase to phase, not just 220v to neutral bud, equalling 380 to 415v, like i said not something ive worked on but does crop up

220 to neutral is 380 line to line just like the spec says.

Looks like a nice little unit. There isn’t much you can wire wrong really, just connect the single phase input between any two of r s and t and the motor across u v w, the link the motor to be star or delta as required.

Don’t get hooked up on the voltages, as its current and frequency that drives motors not volts.

As its giving an output and turning the motor its unlikely to be knackered, so I would put money on it being setup wrong.

The unit has a variable output either from an external input (variable resistor) or using the keypad. In the settings I’d check this first so that a) the output is set it to be by the keypad and b) the output is set it to 100% from the keypad Also check the max output frequency is set to 50hz .

Inverters usually ask for a motor size too to limit the current to a safe value to protect the motor. This might be set too low so check that too.

If the manual is chinglish this might take some time I’m afraid.

Not quite, the 220v is line to neutral I.e. star connection so if you could measure the voltage across the outputs you should see 380v. But a mentioned above you can’t do this without a scope (the output is a square wave, so a standard RMS algorithm like virtually all multimeters use doesnt work)

My initial guess is that the inverter is current limiting its output.

Line to line voltage is about 1.7 times the line to neutral voltage.

Its worth noting that a digital volt meter wont read correctly as the voltage waveform will not be sinusoidal. If you want to measure the true output voltage you’ll need a oscilloscope I’m afraid.

Can you give me a link to the manual for the unit to have a look at?

Mine cracked in the same place, I looked into a repair but found it cheaper to buy another frame

I bought a pair of forks from them, arrived quickly and well packaged so good service from this point of view.

However they were described as fully serviced, based on the mud on the seals it was evident this was not true. Took them to bits and found them totally dry of oil.

If I’d have just ridden them I reckon they’d only have lasted a few rides before the coating on the stanctions would have been damaged.

Mine arrived at the weekend, have to agree that they are on the tight side.

Nice that they have finally ditched the Velcro straps

They are obviously longer which will raise the BBC and slacken the head angle but the over all effect Depends on the frame really, what have you fitted them to?

Also are they 32,34 or 36 as 36 are around 15mm longer.

All good advice, our two have gone from lops to flops in this weather 😀

The 4 inch thick concrete slab the run is on keeps ours cool now but before then we used the bottles of ice in boxes of hay for them to sit/lay in

I’ve got the same frame, used to run it with 150mm u turn revs. Worked really well downhill, but even at 120mm i didn’t climb as well as it used to on 100mm forks IMO. Having said that now I’m used to riding longer travel bikes it will probably feel fine on the ups.

Been down Snowdon twice to round Scotland numerous times, wales etc and the frame was fine

One plus one here, running 4g on three. Great phone, far far better than the S4 it replaced.

4g support (or slight lack of)is the main downside to the one in the uk, as I you want 4g you are limited to EE and Three.

Just found the email I had back from Thomson, and the correct diagnosis was a faulty ‘piston bumper o ring’

Edit As above rule the cable out first, I’d assumed you’d already done this sorry

    dvatcmark

Yes had the exact same problem, spoke to Thomson about it and they diagnosed it as having a loose bumper/ o ring. Can’t remember the exact wording but think it was something to do with the top out.

Anyhow it had to go back under warranty for repair I’m afraid.

EvilhomerSimpson on eBay sells o ring kits cheap.

When my recon did the same thing I got one through work, but seem to remember it was a US size so not that easy to find. Since then I’ve just bought the o ring kits from said seller.

One plus are having a few flash sales at the moment where you can get a 16gb model for under 200. Fantastic phone, crushes my old s4, and works nicley on 3s 4g network.

I’ve just had this happen with one pair of cleats only. Previously they have always gone very loose as they’ve worn out but these have gone the opposite way.

Looking at the cleat gives no clue as to why either, no obvious groove’s etc., Different cleats work fine in the same pedals.

520s are just over 15 quid so its not even worth buying new cleats.
