The new brake will come with a 160mm is adapter so you’ll either need a new 160 rotor or new 140 mm is to pm adapter to use the existing rotor.

In the wet just accept it. You’ll waste hours trying to stop it and never succeed fully.

Belper area was similar last night. A bizarre mix of stuff that was as dry as summer and sticky stuff that stopped you dead. Even came back with dry feet

    Ambergate certainly wasn’t last night!

Sounds to me like you’ve got a blockage or bad connection on the schrader valve on the fork so when you pump you’re just pressurising the pipe on the shock pump

Are you sure it’s not a feature of the frame to allow a front mech to be fitted

Very impressed with my Thomson. Still rock solid with zero play after a few months of being ridden 6 hours + per week.

Your water company should offer a free test to check the level of contamination

Probably the best built set of wheels I own came from clee cycles. 100s of miles in them and still perfectly true.

Is it wrong that the first thing that came to mind is that I recognise the lamp post in the first picture?

Has anybody ever tried a 9 speed chain on 10 speed cogs? Been meaning to try it for a while but haven’t got round to it yet.

Your right with a 32a MCB for a 2.5mm flat twin and earth ring its just a standard circuit out of the regs .

Officially it’s part p notifiable as it’s a new circuit from the consumer unit, but if you extended the existing ring its wouldn’t be. This is why the part p is a waste of time.

I personally wouldn’t do a ring because it’s more cabling and they are dangerous if the ring becomes broken. 4mm or 6mm radial is much better.

I would put in a radial circuit rather than a ring main as they are much safer.

No need to upgrade the isolator as your supply will be fused at 100A or less

Here it is with the fork at 100mm

I’ve got a 94 lava dome which is the same frame as the cindercone. It rides ok with 100mm forks but much better with a 80mm fork fitted.

I run the onza rear disc mount which attaches to the drop out and canti stud.

10 speed are marginally narrower. In practice it makes no difference and they are interchangeable

I know about it because I did it by accident once. It’s easy to do too and the forks work fine but just clunk when they top out.

If you look in the manual at the exploded diagram you’ll see what I’m on about

They can do that if the travel reducing spacer is fited on the wrong side of the top out bumper

They work great in the mud imo loads of grip. Never understood the bad press they get on here.

Tried out my mud-x last night for the first time in a while and they were shocking comapred to the smog.
