Yes, it’s just a small plastic cone shaped adapter that fits into the Schrader valve fitting. Most foot pumps and glove box sized compressors come with them but they don’t seem to come that often with track pumps .

I’ve had an x fusion on now for a year, it has to go back under warranty straight away due to a duff seal but since then it’s worked flawlessly.

Before that I tried a ice lift and that snapped after about 2 months.

The best will undoubtedly be the Thompson when that comes out shortly but it won’t come cheap.

Yes it’s defunct now, I’ll give you £50 for the frame

Don’t rs forks have a 2 year warranty?

    dvatcmark

That’s normal, it can only be the spring assembly then.

With the lowers off try pushing damper rod in and out. If it won’t move it’s time to strip that next

Not really it’s only 15ml or less of oil per leg

Have you thought about using decorative cable trunking on top of the skirting board? Theres quite a lot of choice and if you pick the right one you’ll barely notice it

    Edit. Here’s one example

I might be wrong but I thought the coil ones have a bigger (or different shape) hole at the bottom of the left leg

Just turn it on, if you’re happy with the sound quality leave it there. I’m assuming you’ve got rear speakers fitted already.

The multimeter test across the speaker will tell you nothing. You could do a ‘bell test ‘ with a multi meter but the time it would take to do the test you’d be faster swapping the wires round on the new speakers and seeing if it sounds better or worse

If you’ve added more speakers to an existing system and wired the +- the wrong way around you should notice that it doesn’t sound quite right when a the speakers are on at the same time ( bass sounding hollow is the most obvious symptom ) .

If this is the case just swap round the +- on the new speakers, job done.

If you aren’t sure on the sound just play with the faders on the stero to listen to all the speakers on their own and then all together.

It won’t cause any harm physically, it just harms the sound

The non technical 100% will work option is the new battery.

In this case based on what the op has told us I’d put money on the battery being OK. If you’re confident in your ability to take the thing apart you haven’t really got anything to loose. As if it turns out the battery is knackered you need to buy a new one anyway

If you use my method the key points are

    1. You need to bypass any protection circuits built into the battery and
    2. Don’t try and force a large current into the battery. Just take it nice and slow
    3. Don’t leave it unattended !

Apologies. I did read it all and although the first half agrees with me I thought the point of the post was the final paragraph.

Op the approved solution appears to be throw money at it and buy a new battery.

Only if its been completely drained, which is highly unlikely in this case.

Without trying you just don’t know.

All lithium chargers will refuse to charge a bettery of the battery voltage is below a certain low limit.

You just need to manually force some charge into the battery to bring it’s voltage up above the minimum voltage limit.

How you do this depends on the battery, my prefered way is to open the battery case up in order to expose the main terminals on the cells then connect up a variable DC powersupply directly. I just set the voltage so it puts a few hundred mA in and leave it for a while. The disconnect and try the proper charger if it still doesn’t charge then carry on with the manual charge for a bit longer.

Done carefully there is very little risk of anything going wrong, but lithium battery’s are volitie and can go bang spectacually if you do something daft.

I’ve got a multi x and a kinesis pro 4. The kinesis is a much quicker and agile bike off road but its useless as a commuter as it has no mounts for mudguards.

The multi x is a brilliant commuter / workhorse. OK its not quite as responsive as the kinesis but for the price difference i woukdnt expect it to. Its still a nice ride and you can get 32c tyres and full length mudguards / pannier if you wish . the paint on mine is pretty bullet proof too .

I’ve had plenty of trouble with Joplin’s in the past but never with the clamp. I actually found the opposite, where I couldnt get the clamp to move when I tried to adjust my saddle!

Have a Thomson now and it’s in a different league to the Joplin
