Yes, i put in on the other day as i had the windows and doors replaced. The lads had the upstairs windows out and it was a wind tunnel, chilled the whole house so popped the heating on for an hour. Other than that it won’t be on for a while yet.

One of my favorite restaurants is Dom Carlos, in the old town. Only been twice an it was fantastic. It has however, changed hands in recent times and i have not been back yet since the new owners took over but it seems they have kept the same concept

Thanks for those, Sketch up looks good. Ideally i want to upload a photo of the back of the house / garden and then add on my designs and try different things

Did this myself yesterday. After calling up last monday and asking why my direct debit has gone up (now £48 p/m) when i have the basic package for TV, unlimited broadband and phone line. Ended with me cancelling the TV and keeping everything else for £24 p/m, he offered me £33 p/m to stay on my current deal.
Got the call yesterday offering all in for £17 p/m for the next 12 months.
I do this quite regular but this the best deal i have ever had from them and it was very easy to do. I stand to save almost £400 in the next 12 months

I’ll be interested in this as i’ve only recently learnt the demands they are put under from first hand experience. It is absolutely crazy and not quite believable at first. Sky + is set

I’m considering it, but don’t cook professionally any more so it could be a bit much for at home. I think these will fly off the shelves at this price though, just how can Aldi sell them so low? Any ideas?

I’m another against the ‘can i get’ thing, drives me mad. Over misuse of the word literally winds me up as well. I heard a young mum the other day telling her mates ‘she was balling her eyes out’ and as if her own friends wouldn’t believe her child was crying she said ‘i mean literally balling her eyes out’

I just laughed and was told by the other half not say anything.

My boss often asks ‘are we good?’ Haha, don’t get me started

I can vouch that it works with red wine, i do it when ever i’m away on the touring bike. Always a good idea after getting the tent up.

I got a Gear4 Street Party Go! about 6 months ago and use it quite regularly, battery life is fantastic, must have only charged it 3 or 4 times. Charges by USB an all. It doesn’t work with an Iphone 5s however (or i can’t connect it) Works great with the Ipad though which is what i intended. I think it was £50 from Tesco

Just ordered a Chromecast at PC World, much easier than the Currys site

I’ve just watched a film in the bath on the Ipad and the sound comes from the bluetooth speaker… all wireless!

It is unbelievable how far we’ve come in the last 20 years or so. 7 years ago i was a complete technophobe but decided to embrace the new fandangled stuff.

I prefer Post office TBH, be sure to order on line for the best rate. Usually a better rate for £400-£999 or even better for over £999. I think i got 1.23 in early september.

A ‘friend’ of mine said “Welcome to England” upon the conquest of his first foreigner. She took it in the spirit it was meant, apparently

Just doing some comparisons my self. 104 year old 3 bed mid terrace, £69 month dual fuel. Current deal has come to an end and i’m getting a refund of £220… Cheers Scottish power.

About a year ago i had a lot of work done on the house, new boiler and loads of insulation included. Its a remarkable difference, it really is. Before with my old un-economical boiler, payments went to £137 a month (jan 2013)

I also give monthly meter readings so its always accurate

Money saving expert.com had all the template forms i needed to fill in. Santander sent back a questionnaire, i filled it in, sent it back. Sent another letter the day after saying that if i didn’t hear anything within 14 days i would speak to the financial ombudsman. Recieved an offer within weeks and i said no, thinking that i had nothing to lose and any money i got as compo was a bonus. They more than doubled the next offer, i accepted and hey presto, new kitchen ordered.

This was 2010 if it makes any difference
