Seems like Foes will be offering a frame only or various build options.

Granite Rockband. Does the job and is less than half the price of the competitors.

It takes a couple of weeks shipping from `China, but you can now order through amazon.

Had mine for going on 6 months and its spot on.

All done. As another a-level and Bsc design engineering grad, if I can help at all just drop me a message. Did my final thesis on cycling products as well. Best of luck!

looks as though it will work on preorders for the new calibre sentry models as well.

I had an Ibiza with the dual charger system. Was brilliant for the first year, then started going through oil like it was going out of fashion, as well as 2 water pump / super charger clutch assemblies in 8 months. Not sure if they were symptoms of the mileage creeping up but I wouldn’t get the same engine again without warranty!

Well after a few weeks of prototyping and testing, I think we’re getting close.

Here’s a few pictures of our latest couple of prototypes. 19mm stainless tube, which fits into most hollow axles nicely. The whole thing is super light and folds almost completely flat, to live in the van/car.

We’ve tried aluminium, which is lighter, but docent have the stiffness and distorts too much with a heavy bike loaded up. Also stainless is far nicer and gives a premium feel.

Would love to hear any thoughts or feedback, or if anyone if is interested in buying one, we’re currently gauging interest with making a small batch of them in mind. They should come in under £50 shipped but that is to be confirmed.

    Cheers!

Been running a mid 2014 15″ MBP since new and it’s been flawless, easily the best laptop/ bit of tech I’ve bought.

I installed Windows 10 to boot from an external second hand IBM enterprise SSD and boot camp onto it for the occasional CAD work when away from the office, which also works a treat and shouldn’t compromise the internal HD at all.

That being said, my dad’s recently purchased Dell XPS 15 also looks lovely if I required windows all the time.

Scaredypants, the ground spike idea might be something interesting to explore.

It will certainly be stable and allow cranks to spin. Should also fit all crank types and wheel sizes, fold up and be pretty tough.

Parkesie, we identifying the Andystand pretty quick, but the latest design is around £90! Were thinking of having something sorted for around half that.

Not sure if it’s the sort of thing your after, but I’ve just ordered a pair of these for casual rides /pump track visits/possibly work.

Thanks all, off to see if the local dealer has any in tomorrow! Failing that, found some discounted pearl izumi ones which look like they’ll also do a good job

Cheers all, I had actually considered the Bonty pack, but a riding buddy swears by some bibs as his gear won’t swing about.

If I can find one to try on I might give it a go, otherwise it looks like I should hunt down some SWATs then.

I recently picked up an ex-demo Createbot Mini printer, from an outlet store on eBay.

Most prints so far have just been dummy objects to get the settings dialled in, but I did manage to print a drilling guide and hose guide to convert my frame to a stealth dropper. Took about an hour, was pretty happy as it did the job.

Overall though I don’t think I’ll be making anything of any great quality or strength on cheap printers like these.

My front M615 has just given up for the 2nd time, you got a link to the eBay piston kit?

Don’t see any harm in giving it a go if they are available.

thanks all for your thoughts, seems my alternative might be to stretch the budget to a oneup dropper, they seem to have favourable feedback as well.

Thanks all, looks like the Brand-X is popular, as suspected!

Tredz claim to have the RSP’s in stock, but always a gamble with them.

The other option was there are a few unused KS posts on eBay, Crux-i or eten’s but I’d rather by from a shop for the warranty.

Well would you believe it, I rang Evans this morning who claimed it was problems on Tesco’s end! They said the usual voucher order confirmation’s they receive from Tesco are not arriving with them. The guy at customer services had no time scale for a fix but said try calling back if theres no email within a few days…

Boot camp the mac if you need to run a CAD package for sure.

Also I can also highly recommend the Affinity packages, we have recently cancelled our adobe subscriptions and converted, they have been great so far!

I’ve owned a 13 plate ibiza 1.4tsi for around a year, it’s been pretty much spot on. Slightly higher oil consumption than other cars but not at all that bad (around a litre per 700 miles).

I read to avoid CAVE engines so found a CTHE one which has the same map with some hardware changes.

Run it on 98/99 unleaded and averages just under 50 to the gallon on my commute.

Also yes the DSG boxes in these are the dry versions and do not require oil changes.

Nookie bikes on pink bike are selling Troy Lee Shock Doctors at half price. Bit tougher than the super light weight ones, but I’ve had them for a couple of rides so far and they’ve been great, very comfy and clean up like new in the wash.

The girlfriend’s sister’s husband handles the bookings for surfmaroc.com and they both worked there for ages. They both love it and keep nagging us to visit ourselves. If you have any questions I can put them to him or just put you in touch with him directly.

Seems a bit pricey for a basic kit. Check out the Monoprice range online. Saw them in action at this years TCT exhibition & they looked great. Start at about £180 I believe

Cracking afternoon exploring Friston forest today.

First ride on my new (to me) ti altitude & also my first ride with a dropper post. What a difference they both made.

With the other half away in london for a girly weekend, I’m in the rare position that I may well go back tomorrow for another ride!

Second for Onshape. Crazy high solidworks pricing structure means we have been testing it out at work recently with a mind on switching completely in the future.
