Hmmm, I too am shocked and saddened, too many healthy people going before their time. Full MOT, blood checks etc (which I’ve never had though considered the norm here in France) to follow. I never go to the docs, but it won’t hurt to check stuff out.
I tried to use a Freelander as a boat once, I found that parking it up a steep incline made all the water run into one place then soaked it all up with bath towels. I just left the heater on full welly with the engine running, one of the windows open a crack to let the vapour out worked a treat.
I had a y2000 Vito with a set of seats in the rear. Really heavy, 2 man job to get them in and out, though they were handy at times. Got rid of them in the end. Can be a b$gger to clamp in at times, maybe as the van expands and contracts summer/winter, I presume the holes are already there under the ply on that model
My partner had hers done about 12 years ago. Previously blind as a bat without glasses, couldn’t find the exit at swimming baths, etc. Had to put her specs on as soon as she woke up. As predicted she only needs glasses for work now. No reduced night vision, or dry eye. Money well spent.
We back onto some woods, and we have wild boar. I noticed a female playing with young and tried to get a bit closer to them with my camera.
Turns out she walked right up to me and shooed off her young into the undergrowth.
I just kept talking gently, looking away from her and squatted on the floor. She made a scrape in the earth and lay 10ft away. Gorillas in the mist thing going on. 🙂
In Todmorden they used to have a ‘Soap Box Derby’ down the back of the Centre Vale park woods.
Very steep, and the soap box carts were usually old stripped out car chassis.
Loads of ale involved and only a few straw bales scattered about to protect people.
Mental, but good stuff
