2005 Stumpy, was light enough but blew through travel, having initially seeming too stiff for the small stuff.

I gave it away after trying all sorts to make it feel right

    Time for a bleed?
Brake fluid takes on moisture after a while apparently and needs replacing

A friend’s brakes failed, so he headed for some foliage, ferns and the like, only to find it concealed a finest millstone grit gatepost.

This all resulted in a huge endo and a trip to casualty where he had to tell them that he’d ripped his knacker sack wide open…………

You’ll all be disappointed to know there are no pics.obviously

Ride em for a short while while on other rims, they soon slacken off. Don’t worry about it, it’s just the newness wearing off. Makes for a good tight seal.

Fat Albert UST front grips and steers, Crossmax UST rattles along nicely at the rear. Steep rocky stuff here in southern France and sometimes slippy as hell on the clay if we have a bit of rain.

I’ve been suffering this for a while and I find that stretching my hamstrings regularly before, during and after the ride helps.(They are really tight though)

Apparently situps/crunches help to strengthen the core(hence supporting the spine) which I’m working on aswell

    Yep, just for Puffs………..

Bride and Groom Lie Hidden for Three Days

She gives him his eyes, she found them
Among some rubble, among some beetles

    He gives her her skin
He just seemed to pull it down out of the air and lay it over her
She weeps with fearfulness and astonishment

She has found his hands for him, and fitted them freshly at the wrists
They are amazed at themselves, they go feeling all over her

He has assembled her spine, he cleaned each piece carefully
And sets them in perfect order
A superhuman puzzle but he is inspired
She leans back twisting this way and that, using it and laughing
    Incredulous

Now she has brought his feet, she is connecting them
So that his whole body lights up

And he has fashioned her new hips
With all fittings complete and with newly wound coils, all shiningly oiled
He is polishing every part, he himself can hardly believe it

They keep taking each other to the sun, they find they can easily
To test each new thing at each new step

And now she smoothes over him the plates of his skull
So that the joints are invisible

And now he connects her throat, her breasts and the pit of her stomach
    With a single wire

She gives him his teeth, tying the the roots to the centrepin of his body

He sets the little circlets on her fingertips

She stiches his body here and there with steely purple silk

He oils the delicate cogs of her mouth

She inlays with deep cut scrolls the nape of his neck

He sinks into place the inside of her thighs

So, gasping with joy, with cries of wonderment
    Like two gods of mud
Sprawling in the dirt, but with infinite care
They bring each other to perfection.

Tea brews properly at very close to 100’C, so it has to be brewed in a heated pot with a lid on before milk is added which would cool it.

My shoulder joint broke as it dislocated after falling 20m down a ravine in France. Everything popped back in nicely in it’s correct position so I didn’t need an op fortunately.

I couldn’t lift my arm though and it is important to move them about without much resistance.

I stood in the pool everyday, just floating my arms, then later making swimming motions until the strength comes back around the joint before taking on full swimming.

    Definitely speeded up my recovery.

I feel your pain, believe me but don’t rush it.

    good luck

Don’t need a front disk brake just use your toe end on the front tyre.

What got me asking was reading that someones hayes brakes were on-off no modulation.

Given that we were all on superstar pads with similar quality brake hoses with the same brake fluid, is the modulation then in the caliper or the lever.

Presumably the rubber bits I suppose that fit under the lever cover……

If so you could maybe change that to get a different feel for little cost
