Decent padding in shorts makes a big difference. Best ones I've used came with my Cannondale shorts. The ones that came with my Enduras however have a skinny good for nothing pad that snags on my hairy ar5e!

Had a KS, The LBS kept having to replace it due to problems. They then handed me a Specialized Control Post with no upcharge. So far so good

    What would you suggest?

    🙄

I think it can be too easy to get caught up in the I'm invincible, I've seen kids on the internet doing backflips so I must be able to do that 4ft drop way of thinking.

Very few of us ride every day, honing our skills to perfection and modern bikery can help us to believe we are more capable than we are.

Cautionary words based on real stories are just as relevant as tales of biking heroics.

I've got the 2009 Lyrik coils, they come with a standard spring in them for someone about 12.5 stones. The seals were a bit snug when new and took a week or two to settle.

    Good setup info here

    Great looking bike btw

Meths, quick, cheap, effective. No residue left behind which could damage new grease.

So have we finished with bearings yet. How about talking about the merits of dustcaps , I prefer a finer quality dustcap not the crappy Taiwanese made or god forbid Chinese, no, much better to nick the German type ones as found on German BMW's with a built in air release mechanism……yadayadabroootdutduuutbryngdingding………..

I was out for a walk in the woods the other day with the kids on a marked footpath, when all of a sudden a bloody bloke on a bike came hurtling round the corner and leapt over a bit of a depression in the ground straight in front of us and nearly took us all out like skittles.

Fortunately the forestry people had stuck a load of logs in the way so he copped it instead of us.

What to do about these bikers…….bloody irresponsible I say!!!!!

My KS900i was sent back on warranty to get the new internals and remote lever

When I got it back it had a huge amount of slop so I again had to return it.

The shop owner then took a new Specialized Command post and handed me that
    at no extra charge…………..Result!

So far so good, small amount of play in the saddle which apparently is normal but can live with it

Hopefully this will last a bit

That's all because you're a mountainbiker, ride really hard , lay off it a bit, ride really hard , break things, over stretch things repeat…………….

It's a familiar story, the ribs stop hurting after about 3 weeks.
    Enjoy….. 🙂

I think in the real world out on the trail it still will be. Looks like a lot of fun …….enjoy.

These people have always traded on being the best at what they do. They seem to be making some awful management decisions.

The horst link is the best, no they don't need it, single pivot is fine, but DW comes along and it is well, clearly the holy grail.

Now they're selling off from discount warehouses………
