Duffy? Lame. Ok she’s got a characteristic voice coz she smoked too many tabs when she was a kid or some other such marketing rubbish invented to try to give her some edginess. She is so edgeless she might as well be a **** golf ball! She. has. no . personality. Every move she does on stage you can tell has been drilled into her. Entirely soulless. It’s like watching a motorised mannequin. She’s anodyne pap of the lowest order, and w*nk fodder for dodgy old barstewards who bought norah jones and katie melua cds. And probably very dim. Seriously, what does she bring to the table apart from karaoke by numbers and chinny grins? Amy Winehouse is many things, but she knocks this dribble of shite into the shade with every word she sings.

Lanesra’s summed it up nicely, but the plan so far is loose. We’ve got a couple of days to firm up a route. Suggest any particular bits you want to fit into a loop starting on South Bank. That way we won’t spend Sunday morning debating.

I think a couple of hours or so would bring us nicely to beer o’clock.

It’s certainly not going to be Whistler, but it’ll be a laugh to get together, and I hope it’ll kick off a series of ‘Show us your manor’ rides over the coming months.

Good stuff! There’s clearly enough of us that want to do a London ride. Central to begin with is a good idea. Lanesra’s suggestion’s a good one. On a Sunday morning too.

We can do pootles with a few of us, or roll deep. Rides with smaller numbers are more flexible, with one or two people showing the way. Ones with lots of us need to have an idea of a route before setting off, or they’ll stumble and fragment.

smurf – I’m thinking about a mix. Some road’s going to be inevitable in London, but it’s more about what’s interesting than what’s road / off-road. Stoner’s steps sound interesting.

Rudeboy – what are dibble going to do? Chase us? I’m not mad keen on riding long sections of canal. You can never let rip in case there’s someone round the next corner. They’re also a bit flat. I like the sound of your loop though.

South and West people, where could you show us?
