you copper slip the rear of car pads. as long as its not every where I dont see the issue, silicone grease would be another option.

Im planning on it but currently the trek is spread out in bits in the kitchen.

Ive fitted a new chain and cassette, a new mech hanger and its still skipping, its getting right on my tits.

I’ve not had a chance to fettle my new rims yet either

however my rear calliper has free’d off nicely.

    its dependent on how deep.

Shallow you want to cut through

Deep you want to float on top

I’d rather see more motorway miles. Duel masses are everyone’s favourite gripe. GET OVER IT they are on everything so don’t discount it just because it might fail. I only ever saw one major mechanical failure on the 1500dci which was a cam.

I’d look at a teckna or ntec.

    Notes are ace

I’m ex Nissan drop me a pm if you want.

They have a reasonable boot. Don’t forget it’s only the same length as a focus.

The plus 2s the seats are gash but the extra boot room tends to be why they were bought.

The 1.6 petrol is gash crap on fuel and gutless. The 2.0 petrol thirsty. 2.0 d is not quite as good as it should be. My fav is the 1-6dci and then the 1.5 sci

    Like I say ask away

can you make a ushaped clamp to invert a right shifter?

    duncancallum

    I know its not dear.

Its always covered/ridden in shite so I do expect them to be a consumable, I was more pondering if an XT one would be any better. I am on truative cranks that I modded a hope spacer to fit the shimano BB just for easy replacements

The weld on the flange is like for like.

Where you cut the sill and added a piece that needs to be continuous

I’m not keen on superstar. I’m after a pair of hopes on some xcish rims I’m not GNAR enough to have an enduring tag.

I’m going 2nd hand for both.

On that note anyone used flat out cycles?

I’d be aware plugging it in and just scanning it will probably not show anything. It needs road testing with a live data tool.

I’d personally unplug battery. Plug n unplug the Maf, boost solionds etc.

if you can see the turbo actuator try and make sure it moves. Plug battery back on n try it

I work in the motor trade unfortunately…

but i digress we had a corsa come in on remolds it was the most foul handling bag of crap, when we had it on the ramp the quality of the tread was atrocious. 4 tyres and it drove like new.

part worns are a weird thing, if you buy a used car you get part worns on it.
if its a premium tyre and has not been damaged yes it better than a budget. but you just don’t know.

I Bought some avons for my Mams car they where a tenner dearer for the pair than some cheapanese crap.

so in a word just say no to remoulds and get something semi decent they’re not much dearer, they last longer and they might just perform that bit better when you really need it.

Oh and al tyres are shite if they are not properly inflated
