Command post is smaller diameter cable than the reverb (4mm rather than 5mm IIRC). But then the reverb reliability has been shocking with a warranty replacement and having to replace barbs and strain relief on a regular basis.

Command post seems to have better reliability.

Sky seem to getting the brunt of what seems to be a UCI problem. The TUE system is dubious at best and corrupt at worst with the ability to retrospect treatments. If there is a medical need that requires a banned medication then surely an athlete should be withdrawn from competition for a period. That might be draconian, but it would sort the genuine from the ‘pushing the line’.

The lack of clarity is suspicious, and the ‘cleaner than clean’ ethos that Sky has had has riled up other teams to put a target on their back.

But I can’t make my mind up on whether this is a PR disaster or stinks to high heaven. The IM injections seem worthy of a lot more questions, but not as convinced about the Fluimucil episode. It might bave been available over the counter in Europe but I’d be surprised if this was the form that was able to be used in a nebuliser, which is one report’s account of how Wiggins took it.

    Anyone wearing a hat.

Driving instructor had this rule of thumb and it’s been incredibly accurate. Covers neds in baseball caps through to old biffers not paying any attention in their jazz/juke/micra and 4×4 mob in between.

    Can’t beat a good stereotype!

Work Sharp system took the lottery out of it for me. Got one in the sales a few years back but didn’t invest the additional wide blade attachment but still does plane blades with a great edge.

    Cheat. Without drugs… Doesn’t quite compute…

Knee jerk response …anything must be banned and an editorial written in the Guardian condemning it.

Or SPOTY! A fake programme pretending that there is anything to do with personality or role models. Lewis as exhibit A.

What pads are you using? Have had problems with Uber sintered pads and switching to other ebay versions have been fine with no squeal or cleaning required.

If you have any sort of alarm or immobiliser it will be dead in three weeks. Trickle charge via optimate or similar, lube the **** out the chain and ideally get it on paddock stands or centre stand with a jack to get the front up. If that’s not possible no worries, but check tyre pressures every couple of weeks and move the wheels do it’s not in the same spot.

I’ve run three bikes through winter and doesn’t matter what you do, after three winters they’re tatty as hell – make your choice and work out if winter biking is enjoyable and worth saving the time for the hassle – annual chain, brakes strip down and manky bolts are inevitable.

It’s not the clothes you should worry about, but the daggers and whispers from your colleagues around the whiff. Unless you’re really ambling and changing clothes every day it’s going to be an issue.

Not personally but i met a guy through work who went to Tibet and a bit of Medial. His blog is here:
    http://2wheelsintibet.blogspot.co.za/

There is a descent that lasted 75km. They tried some bits cross country and ended up on the road. They had guides to help but i recall they struggled to get visas for certain parts of Nepal.

lol interesting to hear others opinions on this and why they subscribe.[/quote]

Because i like the mag and wanted to access digital and online content. Then i find a forum clique, or viciously judgemental responses and an open classified section, and start wonder the same thing.

The relaxed ethos of the mag that is all about the experience rather the the equipment, ability, or the bike, doesn’t come through on line. And too many up-tight, persecuted roadies online. Especially Bez.

The ads make the site unusable unless you subscribe and the anti marketing bits makes Stw site increasingly less attractive. Yes it might be PR by tyre back door but rather watch that than an insipid bike review.

Took the initial version and had some issues with the start menu not working and neither did the the Cortana search box, which made opening up applications a little tricky.

    Also some browser issues.

Lots of gnashing of teeth for a while – a powershell script that I found (had no real idea what it was doing, just followed instructions) seemed to work, but then was undone by a further windows 10 update that was rolled out. At this point the script didn’t seem to run and it was beyond the 30 day period that you could roll back so all the files had been deleted.

With a bit more time, MS seemed to fix some of the bugs and more solutions were available online as a experience grew.

Seems OK now, not significantly faster boot up times but I am running it on an old laptop, which is the constraining factor. I’m probably putting this in the early adopter glitch rather than fundamental issue…

Drill it from the side you’re looking at with a new high quality bit. Take it slow and not a lot of pressure. Might need a vice to hold it do toy can use allen key in tg e opposite side. Also might need a coupe of passes with .5mm bigger bits.

But someone might be along with a less brutal solution. I can’t see how you could easily notch anything in the photod side without damaging the rings.

I fear for Dunlop. He seems too intense and ‘win it or bin it’ mentality, which is not the attitude to have at the TT.

If he’s not top he comes across as huffy/about to kill someone and just can’t take to him. Easy to form opinions based on tv coverage but most of the other riders seem less up-tight.

Wasn’t the best ST tbh (sorry). I can’t get excited about unattainable foreign trips, no matter how good the photography is.

Grit felt like an attempt to make up for it.

Compound and pressures are bigger factors than tyre size. If they’re at 30psi, 4″ fat bike tyre is just as fast as a well inflated 2.1. But had to take sticky stuff off the back of 2.4 because rolling resistance was ridiculous.

Chairlift is an expensive white elephant. Not needed for a good trail, but to be honest I like Inners because it is great trails that are quieter, even just the red XC. I ride it because it feels less mobbed than Glentress and usually has less routes closed in the winter. It needs toilets and more trail investment, not a chairlift.

Yes I’ve got the race face. Doesn’t come with any bladder despite being called ‘tank’ but CRC have now updated their description.

Works Ok. Look like quasimodo with a bladder in it. Quite cool despite the extra layer. Struggle a bit to get pads on and not feel like they’re in of falling out.

I had to fashion some metal bubble insulation as the water was getting horribly warm.

Nice to have a change without a pack but Over priced and some niggles. Feels a bit weird not having a pack. I only use it in the summer.

You too must be using 26″ wheels – they go down faster because off the smaller tyre size so 1cc of air is a bigger proportion of the smaller tyre volume.
    🙂

That looks more dangerous than the TT. Needs the mountains, trees and ground taken away for some decent run-off, or banned.

Dr Johns Silver chicken. It’s the same as Arkwrights but bigger pellets that is supposed to encourage chewing rather than gulping and reduces endings. Not really noticed!

It’s classed as working dog food so VAT free and £11.50 for 15kg bag.

Dog is a fussy beggar and won’t touch anything else. Ok dog food wise. Leave loaves of bread, croissant or blocks of butter out at your peril…
