using the same size stem to test all the bikes makes a lot of sense. it’s called minimising variables.

steve jones articles may be hard to read, but he can ride a bike better than any of you, and at least the reviews are based on his opinion and not the bribery that is rife in most other magazines.

Let’s see, a suspend feature which never worked from day one, no amount of BIOS flashing or footering could fix it.

Let’s not pretend the Windows ‘half-life’ feature where the system slows to a crawl over a 6-12 month period requiring a clean install, doesn’t exist either.

Another, “I work in IT, therefore I am a POWER-USER, but actually knows just enough to **** everything up” idiot!!

it’s so they can check each others nobs out, thus making it an easier decision who they want to stroke during their mid-ride, behind the bushes gay sex session.

If all you have on a your bike is a small scratch then you’re not riding it properly. Stop mincing!! :-)

I fell asleep whilst riding home drunk one morning. I woke up when my face scraped along the road. I don’t get that drunk and ride anymore.

I avoided IR35 for 2 and a half years. Year as ltd, year and a half umbrella.

Earnt more as an ltd, but it was more hassle, in the end I think I preferred the umbrella route which was obviously hassle free. Apart from receiving dividends in Belarussian roubles!

duffmiver – May I call you a nob?

    of course you can.

however, being an IT manager for a famous fashion house, I am anything but unfashionable!!

And, of course, calling people names is all mature and clever I take it?

    No, just my opinion.

So what’s a decent wide flattie pedal that doesn’t cost the earth??

If you want a well thought out argument:

    lower centre of gravity
    fewer pedal strikes

Is it really fashion? That’s just a nobbish retort that people make without even thinking about it. Do you really notice pedals if you’re checking out someone’s bike?

I use 2×9. I’ve never used anything else, so there’s no regrets. If I’m ever spinning out in top gear, I don’t wish I had a third chain ring, I just wish I had a trail to ride instead of a road!!

Are the newer consoles still suffering from the red light errors?!

The new consoles don't seem to suffer from RROD.

But if you're intent on getting an xbox, then one with a hard drive is a must.

You can plug in an external hard drive or usb memory stick, a hard drive is not at all necessary.
