As most have said, if practical take a bike but been an Audi driving five rider 😉 I also take the golf clubs, driving range or a round is a good way of eating up some hours!

But definitely limit the number of beers its easy to slip in to…. ahh just one more on expenses!!

La locanda dei Sapori near old town. Served us well in April doesn’t appear to get rave reviews but we went back twice and rated it. 2 families, 4 adults 3 kids not too pricey early April though…

So try before you take them on holiday

Nowt worst than finding a mask that doesn’t fit and constantly leaking.

Seen the full face masks….not sure! I wear contacts so I prefer separate mask and snorkel then I can wear the mask in the pool, the full face thingy would be a bit overkill!!

I got one with a built in mozzie net so you can zip yourself in. Used a few times, now prefer to tent when I’m by myself. Privacy is a bit of an issue on normal sites but it can be nice if you pitch the tarp right so you can lay there and look out in a morning.
I bought a down blanket for the bottom of mine but find I end up switched to laying on the bag and using the blanket as a cover as you cocoon into it!

In STW style not to answer the OP (well it is indirectly) there was a mask developed with curved lenses that rectified the distortion and had a greater field of view than standard masks. The only thing was you need to be longsighted or wear contacts that gave you a + prescription…this could all be nonsense or may have be a fad at the time but I haven’t dived for 5-7 years now. I’ll see how my googlefu is….

I had effectively eggs benedict (bacon instead of ham) on a bagel with chives, cuppa for around £6 last Sunday at a nice café in a park near Leeds. I accept the bagel let it down over a muffin but <drool>

I quite liked the KonyvBar restaurant when I was there a couple of years ago. They have a menu based on a famous book that changes every 5 weeks or so. A little pricey but nothing outrageous.

I know I really shouldn’t but this zero tolerance and slight amounts of alcohol in the system = significant impairment is going to signal the end of the continental breakfast as we know it! What with some breads and fruit juices having a higher alcohol content than some low alcohol beers ..hic!

I found…crawl for a couple of lengths.. got knackered so switch to breaststroke for a length as a recovery helped. Then just increased number of lengths of crawl(ing) but obviously technique is the waay forward!!
