I think he’s describing a 10s7p battery, and it should proabably have a BMS with temperature monitoring. Looks like he’s soldered the connections and used push fit wire connectors with a lot of exposed wire?? i thought they needed spot welding to prevent damage.

I liked the picture with water all over it :-)

TBH what a total mess,I’ve not arsed about with this stuff for years but if I was building a battery pack,I’d probably get hold of some modular 3d printed end caps for those batteries ,that interlink and spot weld tab them and probably some funky connectors and wire with crimping.

I’d also probably be looking at https://endless-sphere.com/sphere/forums/battery-technology.14/

To make sure I was making something in line with the current thinking.

Can’t change it but it’s road collisions , the other headliners of  Road collisions are

29,643 killed or seriously injured (KSI) casualties
    132,063 casualties of all severities

It’s because you’re reliant on the bms (battery management system)to balance the charging and monitor each cell so more complexity and more cost.

When the quality and design of this is skimped you get bad results.

It’s a bit worrying so many people are killed in fires caused by them.

TBH it was 11 people last year and there was 311 killed from house fires, there were also 1,645 people killed in road accidents.

In the big picture it’s not that many, obvs not fun if it’s you.

The Triton stuffs the sort of thing you’d want to ride in,properly engineered and certified and sort of looks like what you’d expect, flashing lights and funky seats, a serious machine not something that looks like it was knocked up in someone’s garage.

I honestly don’t get how anyone would have looked at oceangates and want a go.

nah, like a lot of things it’s got a purpose in the right environment, unfortunately that has to be somewhere with trees or things you can tie to.

Your not on the ground that could be wet and your raised from animals and things  and that other big win is that they are very comfortable and in the right colour in a forest pretty super stealthy.

I’ve got a lovely DD but unfortunately it’s slightly sparse on the trees where I am which makes it impractical.

Meh we never had sky tv,(or a vhs player – not sure sky was a thing )but I didn’t get to go to Winchester either.

It baffles me that the NHS is a major issue in this election, but preventative health policy is barely mentioned.

Do they really want to talk about ‘anything’ that is really important  after the lessons learned with Brexit, or that which shall be not named. Reality/Truth is unimportant.

I overheard Rishi saying   that people must have been happy with the tories last time as they voted them back in,I vaguely remember people voted a charismatic bloke specifically to get Brexit done.

Anyway that nice chap also promised 40 new hospitals :-)

TBH when the crunch comes you want to be able get an ambulance when you call one,be able to see a doctor when your are sick and  not have to wait x amount of years for any surgery you may need, let alone not be able to get a dentist.

The new norm seems to be poor and expect very little in services, may as well pay a little more tax and  be poorer but healthier :-(

After the last 2 days if I was the prospective Californian employer I’d be on the phone to HR asking how easily we can withdraw the offer

TBH I can’t ever see the arrogant RS ever being a mere employee after being a leader of the U.K.

The only reason they would cosy up to him is access to the FIL.

Another good little Vid about our illustrious leader

The giggle is that itv will air that most  important  interview he ran off for on Wednesday to defend his lying about the labours  £2000 tax rise.

Alledgedly it appears he was trying to not go to the D-Day commemorations all along so another storm of merde may well be heading towards the fan.

TBH he does sound like Will from The Inbetweeners :-)

Running away from D-Day does seem to be like dropping a massive bollock.

I know that anything to do with the EU has to be seen to shunned or snubbed but that was a stellar miscalculation.

We already knew he was bad at politics but wowsers.

Rishi Sunak, a man who struggles to use a contactless card, knows neither the price nor the value of things.

I think Gary’s economics was pointing out that his missus was getting a million quid a week for being her, I doubt there’s much in the local shops that you’d need to know the price as it’s inconsequential when buying the shop would be hardly make a hit on your finances :-)

Given the present non-arrest of offenders as the prisons are all full, I reckon this will be put forward by Rishi in a hastily-arranged press conference on Thursday morning.

They’re getting the gallows he’ll be stood next to installed at the moment. It’ll likely be pissing down again, the black skies adding to the general mood

Hmmm they could resume Transportation to Aus again, more appropriate for shop lifters etc.

I’m not sure that age has anything to do with what you should wear, the issues more around the fit and especially around the beer gut.

I also think your fashion taste also come from the time you grow up so you have to be a little adventurous and try new things on as it’s easy to stay in a fashion time warp.

Just remember it’s better to age disgracefully :-)

I remember having a Lord Anthony parka, I vaguely remember that the pockets ended up terribly sticky with the remnants of space dust from discarded packets and it had to go.

Fundamentally decent’ bloke who lies to the face of the relative of a Manchester bombing victim, promising that legislation will be presented to Parliament before recess, all the time knowing he’s going to call an election that same day.

And I’m guessing he won’t be presenting any legislation as promised for infected blood victims compensation.

I think these points are the most poignant.

Winchester College is a big boost: not only is it presumably a very good education (he was a day pupil costing £36K this year!) but it establishes connections and relationships that almost certainly helped his next step to Oxford, his internship at Tory central office and his entry to finance at Goldman Sachs.  That got him into has Stanford MBA where he met his wife and even more fortune

Yep, it’s the usual you are who you hang around with scenario.
More opportunities if your besties parents work/own companies in the city.

It’s a mix of getting the opportunities and running with them thou but his rewards for working hard are unlikely to be reproduced by Joe Public.

My inner city school wasn’t exactly full of the children of merchant bankers although we did have someone who was a  successful music producer who worked with Madonna.

It ought to be a big deal but that’s just an indication of how far things have gone wrong. People just aren’t shocked or even really disappointed about it, it’s just another sigh. Not good.

Didn’t actually didn’t mind  that labour vid pointing it out.

I’m more worried about people not voting, reform standing down and him sliding back in.

I can’t see it happening but strange times.

And to put that into context, the Smart FourTwo (i.e. the Small Smart car) is too big to qualify as it’s about a foot too wide.

They did a version with narrower panels specifically for that market :-)

Unfortunately those Fake French Defenders are now made in the Smart factory so small smarts are no more :-(

TBH given that one of the biggest draws to Brexit was giving extra money to the NHS I’m surprised that more unhappiness isn’t occurring around the state of it.

When Jack swapped his cow for magic beans at least he got a result.

I’m not sure what type of fairy tale Brexit is turning into.

IMHO they just haven’t, as a product gotten to where they need to be.

They should be reliable or repairable to not rely on the warranty.

I used to play with e-bikes when you got in a Bafang  rear hub and a pile of rc  lipo and a bms and a pair of big wire plug crimpers and if you had the money a torque sensor and computer, interesting times very much like the first pc’s.

So not an ebike hater :-)

I like my crank bros F15 and prefer to carry a decent set of tyre levers.

I also like my other smaller but lovely topeak mini 9 pro carbon in its neoprene cover.

I think 9 times out of ten you just need it to nip up something that’s come loose and your screwed without a tool.

Tbh I tend to locktite and torque stuff but I’ve a fetish  for a well made mini tool  :-)

Wine in pint bottle is just nostalgiaw4nk isn’t it

Tbh I don’t think I can ever remember any trips to the pub where the lads have ordered a round of wine :-).

Thinking about it can you even get beer in a pint size can/bottle, although I’ve never found anyone that worried about the size of their beer cans.(It’s more whether it’s cold or not.)

I’d say that wine became a thing once we’d joined the eu for the common man, I’m pretty sure my grandparents weren’t quaffing back a cheeky Pinot gris back in the day.

It’s definitely the maddest thing, it’s just a 9 mile gap between the U.K. and France, why would you want to make life hard to trade over a large market that close :-(.

    Here you go Stevie750:

TBH they did zero tax sanitary products  and you’ll be able to buy wine in pint bottles or stuff made from the leftovers.

Yeah, I’m in a similar situation but I’m the “expat” husband to a Spanish wife, living in Spain. If I ever tried moving back to the UK I’d lose my resident status here, and have to do stupid citizenship tests to regain it.

There seems to be  loads of unintended consequences that have come out the woodwork around this stuff.

I personally think the withdrawal agreement was lacking in safeguards to protect people already residing in the eu.

You’d already voted with your feet and shouldn’t have had  your rights removed.
