“Second is the Scottish interest free loans for eBikes which can be used new or second hand via a shop.”
    They were closed, alas!

Thanks everybody; I think I now know what I will be buying, now to decide between Anthem and Rail.

That’s a good point Charlie, thanks. It will be for doing daft stuff.

Rhys Webb tested positive for HGH. I am more shocked a French team is random testing to be honest.

Folk are being too negative! It shows how the game is growing when 56000(apparently!) turn up at Twickenham on a rainy day to watch a couple of tier 2 teams play. Plucky England didn’t quite have enough to beat the team above them in the world rankings, but another time; just maybe!

Englands first loss to a tier 2 country apparently. Based on that they will get battered by Argentina; hell, watch out for Japan!

Israel Folou not named by Tonga as he is injured. Such a shame!

I’d imagine South Africa won’t be too nervous.

Oh,I don’t know; Ireland play at a pace that teams struggle to match and keep their shape against. If Ireland can get parity in the scrum the Saffers are in trouble.

Billy should be fine, Porter clearly changed direction while running earlier in the game.

That wouldn’t make a blind bit of difference, Biggar has been doing that forever so I suspect he is too old to learn not to.

Mitchell is twice the player JVP is, with Ford also playing instead of Farrell,England would be a better team.

I certainly think the Scottish performances, and the way they try to play the game will keep both SA and the Irish honest.Despite the evidence of yesterday and the 6N I still look forward to the London Times deflecting from the shit show on their own doorstep by describing our game against Tonga as a third place decider as they have done a couple of times.
This is a high water mark in Scottish rugby that I don’t think we will ever see again and I am going to enjoy the hope. Not having a go, but that must be worse if you support England? There are folk that comment on newspaper pieces how they would have won the last WC if Shinkler has not been hurt. Post on here how nobody beats England, they beat themselves etc. Having that level of expectation driven by the media ( Smith/Doumbrant/Arundel as the messiah, anybody?) must be grim. I know we are shite, but I am also aware I will be in Bennett’s bar by 5.30 going “meh” with guys I have been going to Murrayfield with since I was 12.

STW won’t let me post the England team, has Duckman taken control?

I think the site was saving you from the disappointment. Hopefully the beer was good and paid for by others because that was a stinking game.

We are going to get thrashed but at least it will be worth watching.

I think Trump tried to stop folk walking on the aberdeenshire course but got told he couldn’t so long as they acted reasonably and were passing thru. Been court cases on that IIRC

He used a fancy house when he used to visit, folk were walking up his drive and banging on his windows. Only time I have had any sympathy for him.

They gutted another local pub apparently and are willing to fight in court to remove protected status. I would like to think change of use would be rejected, but they will just chuck lawyers at it and win.

Shinkler can’t scrum and neither can Genge.Shinkler seems to get credit as a prop because it helps England think they would have won the last WC if he hadn’t been concussed that’s why a Scot went to SA instead of him, he may have mentioned it VERY publicly 😀. We have got the better of the English front row for the last 3 years with our second rate props. Itoje has been on a measurable decline for 3 years, again; I wouldn’t swap the current version of him for either Grey. I would take a fit Cowan-Dickie and Curry from them, Wainwright from the Overdrafts and all of the Irish pack.

    Dang! That’s a pity.

I wouldn’t take either of those props TJ. As for Itoje, I am not sure he is even Englands best lock.

Gave his name as Owen Farrell, that usually does the trick. That and caramel wafers as everybody knows they are the king of biscuits.

It’s a specific attraction, don’t see it’s any different to visiting a go ape. The argument that you wanted to walk on that particular part of the huge national park and this is removing your right to roam is a bit weak, should somebody present that. As Teej says, there is an exemption for businesses.

My money’s on a Clachaig Gully descent gone wrong.

I would like to think a guide wouldn’t have taken them down the gulley,it was more dangerous than the ridge.I came down it a few years ago for old times sake and it was worse than I remember it before the bypass.

I can’t understand why England can’t get a dominant tight 5 who get set piece ball. The line out was especially unforgivable as Borthwick is meant to be a lineout savant. Scrum wise, neither Genge or Shinkler are going to guarantee you ball. I can’t get my head around how the most resourced country in the world have to rely on those two. As for Wales, hard times for them until they even out their spending but Gatland is a hell of a sticking plaster.

What has happened to Englands tradition strengths? Forwards are playing like they have no pride in the set piece. While I would like both teams to lose, I almost feel sorry for their supporters…Almost.

No it isn’t, doesn’t take 4 years to become a scaffolder. I’m not telling any of them that mind.

Everybody has a useful skill set, especially on a project like this. I went from plastering to eventually a post grad in History and had the same worries as you, hadn’t written more than an invoice for 20 years and wondered how I would fit in. Just because you did manual work doesn’t mean you couldn’t have done something academic.

“It ensures the judge knows what he is actually sentencing “

what does that mean? Is it a chance for the defence to introduce mitigation/ explain hardship for the culprits?

What I don’t understand is how scumbag #1’s girlfriend who originally told the police is allowed to not just turn up 3 times on the trot AT A MURDER TRAIL, allowing them to admit to the lesser charge of culpable homicide. Despite earlier reports suggesting he was still active when they collected him. A statement is being jointly prepared by the prosecution and the defence before sentencing as well. That’s nice, isn’t it? Seven years for bam one, 4 years for number 2.

I’m an ex(ish) plasterer. As above, £150-200 a bit further North in Dundee.
